Our mission is to scale Ethereum while maintaining our values of credible neutrality, openness, and community driven. About the Team/Role You will join a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly skilled engineering team dedicated to building one of the most cutting-edge Layer 2 solutions in the blockchain space. As a Fullstack Engineer, you’ll work at the intersection of decentralized technology and scalable applications. You’ll be responsible for contributing to the development of both the frontend and backend components of Scroll's architecture, using technologies such as React, Next.js, and Node.js. If you're passionate about Ethereum, excited about working with zkEVMs, and want to play a critical role in building the future of scalable blockchain infrastructure, this role is for you. What you’ll do: 

Design, develop, and maintain the frontend and backend of Scroll's Layer 2 solution. Collaborate closely with the product team to ensure seamless integration and feature development. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that follows best practices. Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize existing code to improve performance and scalability. Participate in design and code reviews, and mentor junior team members. Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. Contribute to the overall architecture and technical direction of the Scroll project.

What you'll need: 

Proficiency in Fullstack development with expertise in React, Next.js, and Node.js. Strong understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern web development tools. Experience with building and consuming RESTful APIs and working with databases like PostgreSQL or MongoDB. Ability to work in a collaborative team environment, using version control (Git) and modern development workflows. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality code. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, decentralized team.

Nice to haves: 

Experience working in the blockchain or decentralized technology space, especially with Ethereum or Layer 2 solutions. Prior experience working in open-source projects and contributing to decentralized communities. Familiarity with hosting platforms like Vercel for easy and scalable deployments. Experience with Go is a plus. Chinese language ability is a plus.
