Magic Eden is seeking a highly skilled Finance Operations Lead that is independent and self-motivated with a strong desire to understand how things work, organized with attention to detail, and flexible in this rapidly growing environment. As a key member of the finance team, you will play a critical role in establishing the finance operations function at Magic Eden. As a finance generalist, you will oversee system revamps, treasury operations, tax operations, and policy implementation. Additionally, you will spearhead special projects aimed at driving strategic initiatives and enhancing operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Support ad hoc financial information requests and analyses and other special projects as assigned
• Develop and implement scalable accounting processes to facilitate timely and accurate financial reporting
• Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and improve overall efficiency and accuracy.
• Coordinate with cross-functional partners to operationalize new areas of the business to facilitate streamlined accounting transactions
• With major system experience, recognize the links upstream/downstream and verbalize the impacts & reliance internal business partners have on the various functions.
• Participate in critical finance, including the implementation of new system logics or enhancements.
• Provide project requirements and coordinate, manage and oversee any testing to improve existing processes and automate any related systems
• Provide support for internal and external audits related to specific areas of responsibility
• Maintain up-to-date process documentation and procedures for all tasks

What you bring:

• 10+ years of broad-based finance experience, ideally in technology, fintech, or digital asset industries
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
• Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality
• Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
