We're making the world of digital assets accessible and secure for everyone. Join the mission.

Founded in 2014, Ledger is the global platform for digital assets and Web3. Over 15% of the world’s crypto assets are secured through our Ledger Nanos. Headquartered in Paris and Vierzon, with offices in the UK, US, Switzerland and Singapore, Ledger has a team of more than 600 professionals developing a variety of products and services to enable individuals and companies to securely buy, store, swap, grow and manage crypto assets – including the Ledger hardware wallets line with more than 5 millions units already sold in 180 countries.

At Ledger, we embody the values that make us unique: Pragmatism, Audacity, Commitment, Trust, and Transparency. Have a look at our Origins video here

The Consumer Services organization is responsible for bringing all web3 services to Ledger users, so a user can safely buy, swap or sell its crypto from Ledger Live. However, Ledger isn’t an exchange and will never be. Instead, we’re partnering with service providers whose job it is to provide exchange services, the goal being to create a one-stop shop for everything crypto.
If you’re passionate about crypto, DeFi and staking, have an opinion between decentralized exchanges and centralized exchanges, or are a weekend crypto trader, this role is for you.

The mission

    • Build highly available, scalable, consistent and performant services to power Ledger’s products
    • Manage, grow, lead, mentor a highly skilled technical team (4+ team members)
    • Bring in your technical expertise to lead and design innovative technical solutions to ever-changing web3 challenges.
    • Work closely with the Product team to define and understand end-user requirements, and translate them into pragmatic technical solutions.
    • Be the technical counterpart of the business line manager, assist during roadmap definition and partner interactions
    • Work with other technical teams: Firmware, Infra & Ops, Ledger Live, QA and ensure smooth integrations with Ledger Live ecosystem, blockchain interfaces…
    • Conduct benchmarks to identify bottlenecks and optimize the overall performance of our services
    • Deliver high quality piece of software (Test it, Document it, Demonstrate it)
    • Build the technical roadmap of your team and deliver it
    • Design and maintain monitoring systems to detect unexpected failures / behavior
    • Use CI / CD to deploy and secure workflows

What we're looking for

    • 8+ years of experience in web application development
    • 2+ years of experience in managing/leading technical teams
    • Significant experience with React, Vercel, Next
    • Experience with continuous integration / deployment solutions
    • Having an interest in cryptocurrencies and wishing to work with blockchain technology is a real plus
    • Enthusiastic about teamwork, learning and teaching (meet-ups, hackathons, training …)

What's in it for you?

    • Equity: Employees are the foundation of our success, and we award stock options so you can share in that success as we grow. Flexibility: A hybrid work policy.
    • Social: Annual company outing for Ledgerdary Days, plus frequent social events, snacks and drinks
    • Medical: Comprehensive health insurance policy offering extensive medical, dental and vision care coverage. Well-being: Personal development, coaching & fitness with our dedicated partners.
    • Vacation: Five weeks of paid leave per year, in addition to national holidays and rest & relaxation (RTT) days.
    • High tech: Access to high performance office equipment and gadgets, including Apple products.
    • Transport: Ledger reimburses part of your preferred means of transportation.
    • Discounts: Employee discount on all our products.
We are an equal opportunity employer for all without any distinction of gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, social status, disability or age.

What does a React developer in web3 do?

A React developer in the context of web3 is a developer who is using the React JavaScript library to build user interfaces for decentralized applications (dApps) that run on the Ethereum blockchain

These dApps often use smart contracts to facilitate transactions and other interactions on the Ethereum network

Overall, the role of a React developer in web3 involves using your skills in React development to help build cutting-edge decentralized applications that leverage the power of the Ethereum blockchain

As a React developer in web3, some of your responsibilities might include:

  • Integrating the dApp with the Ethereum blockchain. This might involve using tools like web3.js and Ethers.js to connect to the Ethereum network and interact with smart contracts.
  • Building the user interface for a dApp using React. This could involve creating components for the various elements of the dApp, such as buttons, forms, and other input elements.
  • Implementing features that are specific to decentralized applications, such as handling cryptocurrency transactions and displaying data from the blockchain in a user-friendly way.
  • Collaborating with other members of the development team, such as blockchain engineers and designers, to ensure that the dApp functions properly and meets the needs of the end users.
