Metaschool is looking for a high ownership, product-minded backend engineers to help our small engineering team build and ship a delightful product for our dev users.

Metaschool produces courses for devs to build, ship and learn web3. We have over 70K devs signed up from 50+ countries within 5 months of launch.

We’re a decentralized, remote-first company with teammates based in Singapore, India and Pakistan (for now 😉). We are divided by borders but our common mission to help devs build and flourish in the web3 ecosystem has brought us very close. The Role

At Metaschool, we ship weekly and we are nothing without our Product. Our engineering team is the backbone of what we are doing at Metaschool. The learning content lives on the CMS we have created in house. The idea is to think from first principles and evolve the product to continue to delight and help our dev user base.

This is how you will be working with us.

1. Building the backend infrastructure of Metaschool. Our tech stack is React, Laravel & AWS. But we are ever evolving and looking to migrate to Node.
2. Writing requirements of your deliverables, speaking with developer users of our platform and designing sprints with teams.
3. Writing efficient and scalable code to help the platform growth and scale.
4. Helping and supporting other devs in the team.
5. Anything else you would like to contribute to? We’d love that ;)

An ideal person to lead this role:

• Is technical but product minded
• Previously worked with a startup
• Has previously built and shipped something.
• Has managed a team.
• Loves to collaborate with, and bring people together.
• Has great written and verbal communication skills.
• Loves startup environment & comfortable wearing multiple hats.
