In this position, you’ll play a pivotal role in CoinDCX’s future by directly shaping our Product Engineering. You’ll work with your motivated teams and peers to set our Engineering strategy and create best-in-class experiences for our users.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and inspire a team of Engineers, Engineering Managers and QAs

• Set Engineering strategy together with our CTO and Head of Platform Engineering

• Support all facets of team management to attract, engage, retain, and nurture teams of outstanding engineers (e.g., recruitment, mentoring, training and development, performance evaluation)

• Drive excellent customer experience, continually raising the bar on functionality, usability, and simplicity.

• Create and foster an environment where our engineering teams can create their best possible work

• Champion engineering and operational excellence, establishing metrics and processes for regular assessment and improvement.

• Establish a solid project framework and excellent development processes.

• Lead agile software processes for the engineering team and introduce best-in-class industry practices.

• Handle technical debt to ensure our development velocity stays responsive and predictable while minimizing production incidents of our operations.

• 10+ years experience in Software Engineering

• Strong analytic skills and a demonstrated sense of ownership and accountability.

• Empathetic, people-centered mindset and a passion for leadership

• 5+ years of leadership experience ideally, in leading a team of managers

• Deep understanding of all aspects of the software development lifecycle as well as agile principles

• Track record of designing Engineering organizational structure

• Business acumen: Proven understanding of business dynamics, goals, and product strategy. Knowledge of how Engineering fits into CoinDCX’s overall business.

• The ability to balance business needs, a sense of urgency, conflicting constraints, and shipping high quality and pragmatic solutions in a fast-moving and quickly-growing company.

• Knowledge of Software Development in at least one of the following areas: mobile apps, high scale backend services or consumer-facing products

• Excellent communication and English skills

• Good to have - Previous experience developing or managing products built with Ruby, Rails, Go, AWS, Angular, Flutter
