About Prime Intellect
At Prime Intellect, we are on a mission to accelerate open and decentralized AI progress by enabling anyone to contribute compute, code or capital to train powerful, open models. Our ultimate goal? Openly accessible AGI that benefits everyone. But we can't do it alone and we want to do this together with you.
We are building the infrastructure for decentralized AI development at scale. We aggregate global compute and enable researchers to collaboratively train state-of-the-art models through distributed training across clusters.
Head of Decentralized AI Protocol
We're seeking a visionary Head of Protocol to lead the development of our decentralized AI protocol, the cornerstone of our ecosystem. This highly technical role demands deep expertise in protocol design, distributed systems and AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect the protocol's foundational design for scalability, security, and efficiency
- Optimize the protocol for large-scale AI workloads, enabling seamless integration and performance
- Drive protocol R&D, continuously refining and expanding capabilities
- Foster ecosystem development, engaging with the broader decentralized AI community
- Extensive experience designing and implementing secure, scalable distributed systems and cryptographic protocols
- Strong foundations in computer science, mathematics, and cryptography
- Proven track record developing smart contracts and DApps on major blockchains
- Proficiency in languages like Solidity and Rust
- Solid grasp of machine learning fundamentals and AI infrastructure
- Strategic thinking, leadership skills, and passion for decentralized AI
- Highly competitive compensation with equity and token incentives.
- Flexible, remote-friendly work environment. HQ in SF and Berlin.
- Opportunity to work with a world-class team pushing the frontier of decentralized AI protocols.
What We Look For
- Deep technical expertise: Extensive experience in designing and implementing secure, scalable distributed systems and cryptographic protocols. Strong foundations in computer science, mathematics, and cryptography. Proficiency in smart contract development languages like Solidity and Rust.
- Protocol development: Proven track record of developing and deploying sophisticated smart contracts and decentralized applications. Hands-on experience with Ethereum, EVM-compatible chains, or other major blockchain platforms.
- AI/ML understanding: While deep AI expertise is not a strict requirement, a solid grasp of machine learning fundamentals, distributed training techniques, and AI infrastructure is highly desirable. Familiarity with popular AI frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch is a plus.
- Strategic thinking and leadership: Ability to think strategically about the protocol's long-term evolution and its role in the broader AI and blockchain ecosystem. Experience leading and mentoring high-performing technical teams.
- Passion for the mission: Deep alignment with Prime Intellect's vision of democratizing AI and a genuine excitement about the potential of decentralized technologies to drive positive global impact. An entrepreneurial mindset and the drive to take ownership and deliver on ambitious goals.
If you're excited about the opportunity to build the foundation for the future of decentralized AI and create a platform that empowers developers and researchers to push the boundaries of what's possible, we'd love to hear from you.
What does a solidity developer do?
A Solidity developer is a programmer who specializes in writing smart contracts using the Solidity programming language
Solidity is a contract-oriented, high-level language for implementing smart contracts on various blockchain platforms, such as Ethereum
The responsibilities of a Solidity developer can vary depending on the specific project they are working on, but some common tasks they might be responsible for include:
- Writing and testing Solidity code for smart contracts, Debugging and troubleshooting issues with existing smart contracts
- Collaborating with other members of the development team to ensure that the contracts are implemented according to the project's specifications
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in the Solidity and blockchain communities, and incorporating new best practices and techniques into their work
- Participating in code reviews and contributing to the development of coding standards and guidelines for the project.
