Responsibilities

  • Develop new features into the Commonwealth platform, building backend services with Typescript
  • Write server-side code, create high-volume production applications, and develop prototypes quickly.
  • Build re-usable infrastructure for consumption by the open-source community that pulls data from and interact with Ethereum and other blockchains.
  • Build out well-tested, polished developer libraries, tools, and components that abstract away the complexity of interacting with our API.
  • Ensure the reliability of systems essential to Commonwealth communities and users.
  • Practice disciplined software engineering (e.g. automated testing, code reviews, and writing beautiful, readable code).

Requirements:

  • An ability to write high quality, well-tested code.
  • Backend experience working on social or financial data product working with real-time data.
  • Development experience in Typescript or another Object-oriented language. Experience developing large-scale software.
  • An understanding of, and practical experience with, web application development.
  • A solid foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design practices.
  • A sincere commitment to creating readable code.
  • Understanding of database schema design, caching and scalability.
  • A degree in Computer Science or related or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3+ years of experience
