This position is for a highly motivated individual that wants to be part of the early team that will shape the product and the company. This is an opportunity to grow into a lead engineering role in a short amount of time. The product we build will have to scale very quickly and feed the inputs for our data science team.
For this early phase, we are looking for an experienced full stack developer with a common sense approach. There will be many competing ideas and requirements on any given day. The ideal candidate knows how to filter through the noise, and focus on what matters each day anew. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of developing simple but robust systems; has experience in developing websites with API integrations to 3rd parties, designing data structures, and capturing data in the front and backend.
Our current tech stack is primarily made up of React/Javascript in the frontend, and Java/MySQL in the backend, but there are infinite opportunities to change / expand on this initial footprint.
What you will do
- You will work in a small team to build the first iteration of our platform.
- You will have a massive impact on the direction and quality of what we build.
- You will build the face (frontend) of the business, interact with our partners via APIs, build a protocol independent messaging system for our clients (conversations), and ensure that all relevant data will be captured and structured in the best possible way, to inform the next steps of the business.
- This position is 100% remote (US-East coast time zone).
What you will need
- Bachelor's Degree (MIS or CS preferred) or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years Javascript / React
- 5+ years Java, Scala or Python
- 5+ years SQL
- You need to be self motivated and independent to thrive in a 100% remote team
Bonus
- Good understanding of / experience in SMS / MMS technologies are a big plus
- Understanding of Web3 technologies (ethers.js, Solidity, Ethereum, Hardhat) are a plus
- Understanding of basic experiment design and data analysis also a plus
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $90,000 - $180,000 per year. The applicable base pay range will depend on work location, relevant experience and skills, and ultimate job duties and requirements. With this position, benefits include generous time off for vacation, sick time, and parental leave.
