About us

Flashbots started in 2020 as a research and development organization formed to mitigate the negative externalities and existential risks posed by Maximal Extractable Value (MEV). Since then, we have had an immense impact on the world of crypto through mev-geth, Flashbots Protect, MEV-Boost, MEV-Share, our open research and soon-to-be SUAVE.

Our mission is clear: illuminate, democratize and distribute.

We seek to ensure that the value created on decentralized, public blockchains is transparent and distributed. We do this by conducting cutting-edge research, building mission-critical products, and coordinating a diverse community with competing interests.

Our vibe is irreverent, anarchic, excellent, autonomous. We’re explorers, hackers, builders, thinkers. We are relaxed, composed, and at ease in the world, but beneath our suave exterior, we do not have the time or inclination to be anything but the best.

Flashbots is searching for a Senior Software Engineer with a focus on TEE products to join our team. This role is ideal for a proactive problem solver with a penchant for deep technical challenges, strong communication skills, and a builder mentality.

You'll be collaborating with some of the most brilliant crypto experts to design and build SGX/TDX-based products using your relevant experience, as well as contributing to research endeavors that are fundamental to the future of crypto. Some of our public work includes but not limited to:

  • Running GETH within SGX

  • Block Building inside SGX

  • Speedrunning a TEE Coprocessor

  • Intro to TEEs stream

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and maintain a high-performance EVM environment within TEEs.

  • Build and maintain innovative products for Flashbots

  • Shape the roadmap and strategic direction of Flashbots and of the whole web3-TEE ecosystem

  • Create and manage examples and technical documentation for both public and internal use

Who You Are:

  • In-depth knowledge of TEE's (SGX or TDX) and related technologies.

  • 5+ years of experience in production systems

  • Proactive problem solver who identifies and addresses issues before they escalate.

  • Flexible, accountable, and focused on delivering high-impact solutions.

  • T-Shaped skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Capable of independently leading projects and effectively unifying cross-functional teams through excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Experience with DevOps.

  • Experience with Solidity or other smart contract languages.

  • Experience with Go or Rust, as well as

  • Experience with Ethereum or EVM-based chains.

  • Experience with geth or other Ethereum clients.

  • Able to show available open-source work/projects or participate in public technical discourse

Details that matter

  • Significantly above market rate equity compensation package

  • Unlimited PTO with a high level of freedom and autonomy for your work

  • Attractive health coverage package for US employees

  • $3000 Yearly budget for your individual learning and development goals

  • Work alongside the brightest minds in the crypto space

  • Help save the world by ensuring crypto remains decentralized, permissionless and censorship-resistant

  • Remote working - work from anywhere in the world

  • Paid travel - 2 x team on-site in different parts of the world per year plus periodic travel to events

At Flashbots, we are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, age, or disability status.
