About the role:
As a Smart Contract Security Researcher at Avara, you will play a critical role in enhancing the security and robustness of our smart contracts across our ecosystem, including Aave, GHO, and Lens. This role focuses on internal audits, vulnerability research, and developing innovative approaches to secure our protocols. Your work will directly impact the safety and trust of our products within the Web3 space.
How you can make an impact:
- Conduct thorough security audits and reviews of Avara’s internal smart contracts and protocols, identifying vulnerabilities and proposing fixes
- Perform in-depth research to enhance the security of blockchain systems, protocols, and infrastructure within our ecosystem
- Implement and evaluate formal verification techniques to ensure the correctness and safety of smart contracts
- Develop tools and frameworks to enhance the security of smart contracts and the broader ecosystem
- Develop strategies and proposals to improve the readability, usability, and security of codebases by introducing best practices
- Conduct exploratory research into emerging blockchain technologies and cryptographic protocols to preempt potential threats
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to implement and document secure coding practices
- Proactively identify trends and new vectors in blockchain security to protect our systems against new and future threats
Let's connect if:
- Proficiency in Solidity and experience with public Ethereum or EVM-based blockchains
- Strong experience with smart contract development tools such as Foundry, Hardhat, or similar frameworks
- Experience with fuzz testing, static analysis tools, or other security-focused tooling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and deliver results with minimal supervision
- Passion for blockchain technology and the principles of decentralisation
- Previous experience performing code reviews and vulnerability assessments within web3
- Participated in web3 security competitions and audits
- Discovered vulnerabilities or bugs in any web3 projects
