Job Summary:

FreedX is seeking a Crypto Compliance Analyst that will be responsible for end-to-end compliance processes including customer onboarding, KYC verification, and ongoing transaction monitoring for a cryptocurrency exchange. 

Key responsibilities:

• Perform all aspects of customer due diligence and KYC verification 

• Monitor and analyse cryptocurrency transactions for suspicious activities 

• Conduct blockchain analysis and investigate suspicious patterns 

• Review and verify customer documentation and background checks 

• Escalate suspicious or high-risk cases to senior compliance team members for further review 

• Oversee automated systems and robotic functions for any irregular patterns of activity or technical bugs, escalating issues when required 

• Work closely with external service providers to facilitate a seamless client onboarding process and ensure accuracy in transaction monitoring 

• Manage requests from both internal and external customers regarding onboarding applications and transaction inquiries, in line with defined SLAs 

• Maintain comprehensive compliance records 

• Assist in developing and updating compliance policies 

• Collaborate with legal and technology teams on compliance matters 

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Law, business or related field 

• 3+ years combined experience in KYC/AML and transaction monitoring 

• Strong understanding of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency operations 

• Proficiency in both KYC verification and blockchain analytics tools 

• Comprehensive knowledge of global cryptocurrency regulations 

• Experience with both customer due diligence and transaction monitoring 

• Strong analytical and investigative skills 

• Excellent attention to detail and communication abilities 

Preferred attributes:

• Certification in AML/CFT preferred (CAMS, CFE, or equivalent) 

• Experience with crypto exchange operations and compliance frameworks 

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work types effectively 

• Strong project management and organizational skills
