You'll be building with us at the 0-to-1 stage to architect and launch the product for our first users.
We are building on top of Starknet, a Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum, so knowledge of the ecosystem is preferred. Otherwise, you should be a strong engineer with experience building from 0 to 1 on top of other web3 stacks.
- Build and maintain the backend infrastructure to support a performant user experience (indexer, microservices, DB, API)
- Build out a Typescript SDK for interacting with the smart contracts
- Build clean, maintainable React components to convert designer mockups into performant frontend UIs
- Own the developmental process to ensure smooth CI/CD
- Optionally, contribute to the development of the core and periphery smart contracts
- 3-5+ years of engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a web3-related role
- Experience with both frontend (Typescript, React, NodeJS) and backend (PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker, GraphQL)
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- A strong interest in web3 and Blockchain technology
- Experience delivering 0 to 1 projects with significant ownership of outputs
- Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly autonomous, with the ability to manage others in the future as we scale our team
What does a back-end developer in Web3 do?
A back-end developer in web3 typically works on the server-side of a web application, using technologies that are specific to the decentralized web (also known as Web3-related)
This might involve building and maintaining the infrastructure that supports decentralized applications (dApps), or developing the underlying smart contracts and blockchain-based systems that power those dApps
In general, the goal of a back-end developer in web3 is to create the technologies and tools that enable users to interact with the decentralized web in a secure and seamless way.
