About the Head of Events The Head of Events, reporting to the VP of Marketing, will be responsible for developing and executing Thesis’ global events strategy, ensuring a structured and scalable approach to event management. This role will oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of Thesis-led/hosted/sponsored events and its presence at major industry conferences. What You’ll Do
Develop and implement a structured global event strategy/proposal, aligning with organizational goals and industry positioning. Build and manage the project management (PM) function of events, including processes, event briefs, and SOPs to ensure consistency and scalability. Create standardized processes for prioritization of event opportunities, execution of events, and post-event analysis to drive efficiency and alignment. Lead end-to-end execution of Thesis events/activations at major industry conferences. Coordinate travel arrangements for the attendance of leadership at high-level exclusive events. Coordinate and execute on marketing-events-related assets like merchandise and swag. Build and maintain relationships with ecosystem partners, sponsors, and key stakeholders. Develop and oversee sponsorship strategies, ensuring strong engagement and ROI. Build and manage budgets effectively, optimizing resource allocation while delivering high quality experiences. Coordinate cross-functional collaboration, ensuring alignment between marketing, BD, DevRel and product teams. Oversee vendor management, including the selection, negotiation, and coordination of event production companies, venues, AV teams, caterers, and other external suppliers.
Requirements
5+ years of event management experience, with at least 2 years in a developing strategy and leadership role. Experience building and managing structured event processes, including event briefs and SOPs. Proven experience in vendor management, including contract negotiation and overseeing third-party suppliers. Proven track record of planning and executing large-scale events. Strong budget management and sponsorship negotiation skills. Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities. Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments while managing multiple projects. Experience in team leadership and development.
