As a Senior Software Engineer at Magna, you will work alongside a seasoned team comprising senior engineers, leadership, and other stakeholders across the organization. Your role will involve developing and building highly scalable, secure, and reliable software that will revolutionize smart contracts at a fundamental level.

Technical Skills Required

• Rust – Advanced proficiency required for writing secure smart contracts.
• Solidity – Essential for developing on Ethereum-based platforms.
• Blockchain Technology – Deep understanding of blockchain principles and smart contract deployment.
• Smart Contract Security – Knowledge of common vulnerabilities and best practices in smart contract development.
• Testing Frameworks – Experience with test-driven development in a blockchain context.

Desirable Qualifications

• Familiarity with Layer 2 scaling solutions and their integration into existing systems.
• Proficiency in other programming languages like Go and Typescript.
• Experience with AWS and other cloud services for backend infrastructure support.
• Experience with token economics and management platforms.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement smart contracts for token vesting, unlocks, and distribution among other similar areas.
• Ensure contracts are optimized for efficiency and are upgradable.
• Develop comprehensive tests for all new features and functions to ensure robustness and security.
• Deploy and manage smart contracts across multiple blockchain platforms.
• Work closely with the product team to design user-friendly interfaces for contract interaction.
• Monitor and update contract functionality to meet technological changes.
