Associate Director, Blockchain Engineering, JC or Tampan - Hybrid - Up to 175k
Title: Associate Director, Blockchain Engineering
Location: Jersey City, NJ or Tampa, FL (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Type: Direct Hire | Full-Time
Compensation: Up to $175K base + bonus
Industry: Financial Services
Client: Confidential (Global Fintech Leader)
Our Client is building next-gen blockchain infrastructure for institutional finance—and they’re not looking for hobbyists. They’re looking for a killer smart contract engineer who can model sophisticated financial products in Solidity without Googling it every five minutes.
If you're fluent in QuantFi, fluent in Solidity, and tired of DeFi cowboys breaking things, this role might just be your sweet spot.
What You’ll Do:
Architect, build, and deploy smart contracts for complex financial instruments (derivatives, swaps, lending, collateral, etc.)
Model and implement advanced trade workflows for real-world assets on-chain
Drive integration across chains and work with multiple L1 platforms
Collaborate with engineers, product leads, and quants to ship secure, scalable smart contract solutions
Stay sharp on blockchain security, smart contract auditing, and attack surfaces (you know what a reentrancy bug is)
Review and maintain existing smart contracts and optimize for performance and safety
What You Bring:
10+ years total engineering experience, with at least 3+ in blockchain
Deep hands-on experience with Solidity, Quantitative Finance, and institutional trade modeling
Proficiency with Hardhat, Foundry, and security tools like Slither, Mythril
Financial domain fluency—if someone says "repo market" or "collateral liquidation," you don’t blink
Strong JS/TS chops for testing and scripting
Understanding of DeFi protocols a plus (but this isn’t a hype gig—this is real finance, real stakes)
Bonus Points:
You’ve worked in a bank, hedge fund, or fintech firm before
You can explain a CDS to a dev and a smart contract to a finance exec
You’re low ego, high rigor, and obsess over doing it right (and securely)
Requirements:
Bachelor’s in CS, Engineering, Math, Finance, or related field
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no future sponsorship)
Comfortable with a hybrid model (3 days onsite in Jersey City or Tampa)
No C2C or Visa's at this time.
