We are looking for a visual/graphic designer to join the organization's remote-friendly Marketing team. Valora is a wallet on the Celo blockchain that appeals to a global audience comprising a broad demographic of personas interested in Web3. Designing for such mass appeal takes deep empathy, a sense of adventure, and a willingness to master the space.

The Brand Designer will join a small and growing team focused on experimentation across multiple channels. They will bring form, aesthetics, and spirit to Valora’s look and feel on all user-facing platforms. The goal is to solidify the brand personality and help determine new avenues for Valora to highlight our cases, expand our messaging, and ultimately grow our user base.

You Will:

  • Visually express the uniqueness of Valora’s voice and offerings in:
    • All forms of digital media - social, videos, animations, editorial graphics
    • Print media
    • Branding
    • Website design and graphics
    • In-app design

  • Take on the challenge of communicating complex ideas simply
  • Develop and refine Celo’s visual language
  • Influence the design practice as it grows and evolves
  • Own projects from ideation to production by working in creative teams in various roles
  • Participate in reviews, group discussions, and individual and team development. You will receive specific feedback and share your expertise
  • Help foster an open and creative environment at Valora

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience designing for mobile, print, media, and brand experiences
  • Visual design fluency - studious about hierarchy, consistent layouts, grids, and rhythm
  • Art direction skills that contribute to a project’s vision
  • Beautifully polished design work; you obsess over details and are excited to iterate until your work is pixel-perfect
  • An open-minded approach and are opinionated about current design trends
  • Thoughts around design systems with an understanding of how your work in one area plays out across the larger experience
  • Experience designing mobile applications and websites
  • Story-telling abilities that rely on meaningful, coherent visual languages -— illustrations, iconography, layout design, and color
  • A beautiful portfolio to share with us that you’re proud of

You Might Have:

  • Motion design, 3D rendering, print experience
