CMO Advisor (Crypto-Native)

Austin, TX
Operations Team /
Part-time /
Remote

Apply for this job
We’re hiring a CMO Advisor to clarify our narrative, instrument a TVL→deposit funnel with a weekly dashboard, run partner co-marketing (Pendle/DEX/CEX), and coach a young team.

This is an advisor role:

You design the engine and enable the team to run it.

Type: Advisor (contract)

• Time: 8–15 hrs/week (90 days), then 2–4 hrs/month
• Comp: Equity + $TMAI only (no cash)
• Reporting to: CEO
• Location: Austin preferred; open to remote

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

    • Own product marketing (ICP, message, updated site/docs) that drives connects and deposits.
    • Stand up a TVL funnel & dashboard (impressions → site → wallet connect → deposit; TVL by source; CAC/LTV/payback; retention).
    • Run partner distribution: co-marketing with venues/MMs (launch kits, AMAs, creator briefs), PR/podcasts, newsletters/community; test 2–3 paid channels.
    • Define and execute three experiments with clear keep/kill rules (e.g., CAC payback ≤6 months on qualified deposits).
    • Coach the team; leave playbooks, briefs, and dashboards they can run.

What You Won’t Do (Scope guardrails)

    • Not a figurehead CMO; this is hands-on growth, not brand theater.
    • No ownership of liquidity incentives or emissions (owned by $TMAI: Petros/Ayush).
    • No unilateral promo commitments; align with finance and listings cadence.

Qualifications

    • Must-have

    • 4+ years in crypto growth/marketing (exchange, L2, wallet, DeFi, data/indices).
    • Demonstrated deposits/TVL growth with CAC/payback discipline and partner distribution wins.
    • Ability to build and ship dashboards; strong creative briefs and clear writing.

    • Nice-to-have

    • Creator/referral mechanics; lifecycle/CRM; B2B2C or RIA/institutional motions.

Success Metrics (first 90 days)

    • TVL: agreed lift (e.g., +$1–2M net new) with ≥30% partner/organic contribution.
    • Efficiency: channel tests with CAC payback ≤6 months on qualified deposits.
    • Operating system: weekly dashboard, distribution calendar, partner kits, and team playbooks in use.

How to Apply

    • Share:

    • 1) a redacted funnel/dashboard (or list the 8 weekly metrics you track)
    • 2) a campaign that moved deposits/TVL with CAC/payback, 3) a brief partner co-marketing plan outline you authored.
Token Metrics delivers AI-driven crypto indices and analytics. We’re concentrating liquidity across key venues and preparing for public-market paths. Marketing is lean and hungry; we need a hands-on growth coach to turn narrative into deposits and TVL.
