Company Overview: Makina, a crypto-native organization of builders and DeFi leaders, is seeking a full-time (Senior) Finance Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-growing team focused on building trust-minimized infrastructure for the next generation of onchain strategies.Makina introduces a novel framework for onchain asset management that addresses a significant gap in the DeFi ecosystem. While DeFi has successfully replicated many traditional financial primitives, asset management remains underdeveloped, and sophisticated yielding strategies are not broadly available to users across the space. Based in part on Dalectic’s proven in-house yielding products, Makina provides a highly adaptable and secure architecture designed to facilitate a broad spectrum of strategies.Job Summary: As the Senior Finance Manager, you will focus on overseeing the company’s finance operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial processes. Your role will be central in supporting decision-making, maintaining compliance, and driving the company’s financial health. Key Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day financial operations within the company, including accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting. Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances. Handle treasury management including OTC sales with third-parties. Project and model cash flows of the DAO and Foundation. Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making by senior leadership. Ensure accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, investors, and internal management. Oversee the preparation of the annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS. Liaise and support other teams, e.g. Legal. Assist in our capital raising activities. Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations. Continuously evaluate the financial reporting process in order to improve effectiveness and efficiencies, identifying and implementing harmonization and standardization with internal stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

5 to 7+ years of experience in a similar finance role. Decent accounting working knowledge, CPA/ACCA is a plus. Very strong knowledge of crypto/blockchain technologies. Strong financial modeling skills. Google Sheets super-user with a technical track record of clear and reproducible documentation in all areas. A powerful interest in integrating vanguard tools into your work such as AI co-pilots for financial models and financial control. Integrity, humility, intellectual curiosity, honesty, and forthright communication. We are a team of open-minded intellectuals who utilize an approach to determine what is true. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field. Fluency in English.

Nice-to-haves:

Knowledge of Cayman and BVI corporate structures. Good understanding and experience with typical fund terms. Strong network to be able to support capital raise activities or interface with OTC companies.
