About the Role RootstockLabs is on the rise, and our data team is expanding to keep pace. To further enhance the Rootstock ecosystem, we are seeking a Data Scientist to join our collaborative data team. This role involves working across various teams to assist in identifying the right data, collecting it, and presenting key metrics effectively. Utilize advanced machine learning techniques, including predictive modeling and deep learning, to enhance data analysis capabilities and provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making. What You'll be Doing

Collect, analyze and monitor Web 3 data, including market trends, trading volumes, and token performance. Produce reports on current market conditions, web 3 trends and the factors impacting them for tech and non-tech audience to stay on top of the latest developments. Build and manage advanced ETL, reporting, develop and implement data pipelines, data analysis tools and models to contribute with cross-functional teams and initiatives, and enable teams to self-service where possible, while being the primary point of contact for ad hoc data requests. Working closely with other data-focused members of RootstockLabs to ensure all employees have access to the data they require Fuel with know-how the Go To Market initiatives, Product decisions and business strategies to drive data-driven decision-making that fosters the sustainability and growth of the Rootstock ecosystem.

What You Bring to the Table

A degree in a related field such as computer science, statistics, economics, or finance. A Master’s or above in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, or similar quantitative/research background is a plus. Prior experience using data analytics to solve real world problems, often requiring the ability to communicate well to technical and non-technical audiences Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Python and SQL. Confident to use modern machine learning and data science stacks. Familiarity with modern machine learning techniques such as classifications, recommendation systems, optimization and preditions, etc Experience with both extracting (API/Webscocets)  and analysing on-chain data using nodes, Infura stack and Chainlink oracles.   Experience in producing Dune Analytic, Covalent, Flipside or Footprint Analytics dashboards or similar Deep interest and knowledge of Web 3.0 and blockchain is a must – crypto, NFTs, DAOs. Experience with cryptocurrency and blockchain markets and data sources. Experience with dashboard development using tools such as Power BI, Tableau or other. Skilled at modelling and comfortable with building complex spreadsheets/simulations or computer models Familiarity with A/B testing is a plus Strong individual contributor who can operate autonomously throughout an organization across all levels and manage multiple projects across stakeholders in a fast-paced environment Proactive problem solver with the ability to identify challenges and devise multiple effective solutions and with critical thinking skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Highly motivated self-starter and fast learner.
