DESCRIPTION: The Site Security Agent is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate individual to join the team at Foundry, a subsidiary of the blockchain industry’s most prolific and active investor, Digital Currency Group. Reporting to the Director of Physical Security and Fraud Prevention, the Site Security Agent will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure corporate environment, ensuring the protection of staff, guests, and assets while delivering exceptional service.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Site Security Agent ensures a secure and welcoming environment by managing conflicts, responding to emergencies, assisting in investigations and enforcing security policies. This role involves overseeing security vendors, providing comprehensive training to staff, and maintaining key access control systems, making it essential for the safety and efficiency of Foundry's operations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Manage Conflict and Emergencies:
- Manage conflict and promptly respond to staff and guest problems.
- Efficiently relay information in emergency situations to designated management and assist in incidents and/or investigations.
- Assist in emergencies such as fires, life threats, weather problems, power outages, safety hazards, and evacuation measures.
Policy Enforcement and Training:
- Enforce security policies and maintain required equipment.
- Provide security awareness training for employees, including asset handling, escorts, visitor management, and package handling procedures. Conduct new employee security onboarding training.
Access Control and Visitor Management:
- Establish and maintain key/access control systems, conduct daily critical audits, follow up on discrepancies, and report to management.
- Manage visitor access and assist with guest requests and guestroom/conference room entries while maintaining proper security and guest privacy.
Vendor Oversight and Project Management:
- Oversee physical security vendors that provide guards, electronic security systems, door construction/repair, fencing, and access controls.
- Oversee security construction projects.
- Distill overarching security strategy into daily tactics to reach management goals.
Safety and Maintenance:
- Maintain the Emergency and Medical response kits.
- Regularly audit and inspect all onsite safety resources, including AEDs, fire extinguishers, and smoke/CO detectors. Work with safety auditors to address ongoing safety concerns.
- Maintain a working relationship with the building owner and coordinate with maintenance staff for necessary work/repair functions.
Investigations and Digital Forensics:
- Conduct internal and external investigations related to security incidents, theft, and fraud.
- Utilize digital forensic techniques to collect and analyze electronic evidence.
- Leverage network knowledge to assist in investigating incidents and data breaches.
- Experience in digital forensic investigations.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Maintain positive yet professional working relationships and promote open lines of communication with managers, employees, and other departments.
- Monitor and assist with procedures for lost and found items.
- Assist Human Resources with employee separation or termination.
- Assist with developing and implementing security policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- At least two years of progressive experience in security for a financial institution or a related field (supervisory experience preferred).
- Experience in crisis management and front desk operations. Previous security management experience required.
- A college degree in Criminology or a related field is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license from the applicable state.
- Ability to walk/stand for at least 7 hours per day.
- Ability to climb stairs, descend stairs, and run.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality of information.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule.
- Willingness to travel to other locations as needed.
- Experience conducting internal and external investigations related to security incidents, theft, and fraud.
- Proficiency in digital forensic techniques and electronic evidence collection.
- Strong network knowledge to assist in investigating incidents and data breaches.
Preferred Qualifications; Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Certified Forensic Computer Examiner(CFCE) or equivalent preferred.
- Prior Law Enforcement or Military experience is preferred.
The salary range for this role is($75,000 – $110,000). This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This range only includes base compensation and does not include other tangible benefits such as 401K match, bonuses, overtime pay, and other benefits.
