We’re seeking a skilled Database Administrator who will play a key role in maintaining and evolving our database systems, supporting critical operations across our cryptocurrency platform. 

Responsibilities

  • Administer, monitor, and optimize MySQL, ClickHouse, Redis, and Kafka database systems to ensure stability, performance, and scalability;
  • Maintain and improve a large-scale MySQL infrastructure (30+ instances) across multiple environments;
  • Support and optimize distributed ClickHouse clusters, including one integrated with Domo for BI data export;
  • Ensure the stability and efficiency of Kafka clusters used for critical messaging pipelines;
  • Set up and manage PMM (Percona Monitoring and Management) for deep visibility into database performance;
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform and Ansible;
  • Develop and document database procedures, security policies, monitoring, and backup/restore strategies;
  • Collaborate closely with DevOps, Data, and Engineering teams to ensure smooth data flow and system reliability;
  • Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks, participate in infrastructure planning, and support the platform’s growth.

Required Skills

  • Solid hands-on experience with MySQL administration, including performance tuning, replication, and high availability;
  • Deep knowledge of ClickHouse, including clustering, optimization, and maintenance in production environments;
  • Strong understanding of Kafka architecture, including setup, scaling, and monitoring of clusters;
  • Experience working with Redis in high-load environments;
  • Practical experience using Terraform and Ansible to automate database infrastructure;
  • Experience configuring and using PMM (Percona Monitoring and Management) or similar monitoring tools;
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and infrastructure maintenance;
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Domo (or similar platforms) is a plus;
  • Ability to handle complex systems independently and make decisions on infrastructure improvements;
  • Prior experience in the fintech or crypto industry is a strong advantage;
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset in cross-functional technical teams.
