What you’ll do

We are looking for a highly-motivated, technical Senior Product Manager to join our nimble product team. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with design, engineering, marketing, and compliance experts to build the primary investing account for the next generation.

Money movement is critical to Public’s ecosystem, and we’re continuing to optimize that experience for our members. From setting up new integrations to optimizing our current feature set, you will own and drive our payments roadmap. You'll be expected to have a strong understanding of the trade lifecycle, and be responsible for incorporating data analytics, market research, and member insights to inform our product strategy, design, and execution.

This role is based in New York City, and you will be required to work from our office at minimum, Monday through Thursday.

Who you are

  • 7+ years experience as a Product Manager with money movement experience within a startup environment
  • Ability to write detailed requirements in Jira, document in Confluence, and navigate Figma and other standard product tools to ensure requirements are clearly shared and communicated with teams
  • You are comfortable leading API integrations with external vendors across identity verification, payments, clearing or custody
  • Uncanny attention to detail from drafting product specs to reviewing customer metrics
  • Self-starter attitude and ability to work independently
  • Understanding of and experience with agile methodologies, rituals, and communication with the engineering org
  • Passionate about user experience and solving problems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work cross-functionally with teams of engineers, compliance, risk, operations, go-to-market and more

Bonus Points

  • Experience in brokerage, identity verification, and/or payments
  • Awareness of U.S. financial regulation
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools: SQL, Mixpanel, Segment, Looker, etc.
  • Comfortable writing detailed product specs and documentation (e.g. Confluence, Jira, etc.)
  • Familiarity with product tools: Jira, Asana, Pivotal Tracker, Monday, etc.
  • Experience working with a global team
