Job Title: Account Executive for Event Sponsorship Sales
Location: Remote / Hybrid (Event location-based travel as needed), EST preferred
Contract Duration:  1 year, with potential for extension

Compensation: $60k + commission and potential for extension or permanent opportunity post-event 

 

The opportunity: 

We are looking for an Account Executive for Event Sponsorships Sales to join the exciting sector of Web3, crypto, and the blockchain ecosystem who can work in a fast-paced and fast-growing industry.  This position will be responsible for creating and managing a sales pipeline and should be emersed in the industry.  We are looking for a driven, self-sufficient professional who doesn’t need constant direction or management.

· Highly knowledgeable about crypto, DeFi, Web3, AI, or emerging tech 

· Extremely tuned into the industry and have a network

· Proven experience in business development or partnership roles 

· Experience or interest in events 

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

What You’ll Do:

 
Client Acquisition & Sales:

· Prospect and qualify sponsorship leads within the crypto, DeFi, AI, Web3, FinTech, and blockchain sectors.
 
· Deliver proposals fitting the needs of the customer to secure their business
 
· Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
 
Account Management:

· Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.

· Maintain long-term relationships to drive repeat business and referrals

· Ensure client satisfaction through proactive communication and problem-solving

· Continuously analyze the needs of current clients, as well as new products and industry trends, to identify opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling

Reporting & Forecasting:

· Effectively use Salesforce CRM to monitor growth and performance, including maintaining customer details and creating accurate forecasts

· Provide regular updates on account status, revenue forecasts, and market trends

· Translate client goals into actionable event strategies

Event Strategy & Execution:

· Collaborate with internal teams (production, marketing, operations) to deliver seamless event experiences.

· Work closely with the Head of Sales to refine and evolve offerings

· Strong overlap with EST hours
 
· Flexibility outside core hours – this is a global industry, and occasional evening calls are part of the game

Required Qualifications:

· CRM management experience with the ability to effectively enter and maintain a sales pipeline; Salesforce strongly preferred
 
· Proven experience in business development or partnership roles within the crypto, Web3, tech, or event industry. This is not a role for someone new to the space.

· A strong network of contacts in the blockchain and crypto ecosystem.
 
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
 
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
 
· Self-starter with the ability to work independently and remotely.
 
· Understanding of current trends in Web3, crypto, blockchain, and AI
