Mysten Labs believes that decentralized and open protocols are the bedrock of the internet of value. This is why at Mysten Labs, we are creating foundational infrastructure to accelerate the adoption of decentralized protocols based on blockchain technologies.
We are seeking a Strategic Partnerships Manager to own the full lifecycle of key integrations for Hashi, Sui’s Bitcoin orchestrator—from post-signing onboarding through ongoing optimization and expansion. This role will drive successful technical integrations and commercial outcomes with partners across qualified custodians, Bitcoin hardware/software wallets, DeFi projects, liquidity providers, vaults, and lending protocols. The focus is on delivering seamless end-to-end user experiences, from Bitcoin deposition and collateralization to competitive stablecoin lending rates and alternative yield structures leveraging yield-bearing stable instruments. This is a global role requiring exceptional coordination to maximize on-chain activity, partner success, and ecosystem growth.
Location
Remote (preferred locations: North America) with willingness to travel internationally (30–50%).
What you'll do
Own the full partnership lifecycle for Hashi integrations: drive post-signing onboarding, technical implementation, launch, and ongoing performance optimization with custodians, Bitcoin wallets, DeFi protocols, liquidity providers, vaults, and lending platforms.
Coordinate end-to-end execution: align technical roadmaps, resolve integration blockers, and facilitate co-development to enable frictionless Bitcoin collateralization and lending flows on Sui.
Collaborate with partners to design, launch, and iterate on competitive lending products, including dollar-denominated borrowing at market-leading rates and innovative yield structures incorporating yield-bearing stable instruments.
Monitor key performance metrics (e.g., TVL, borrowing volume, yield competitiveness, user adoption) and proactively drive enhancements to maintain Sui’s leadership in Bitcoin DeFi.
Serve as the primary escalation point for partners, aligning internal Mysten Labs teams (engineering, product, ecosystem, legal) to deliver rapid support and iteration.
Develop joint go-to-market strategies, co-marketing campaigns, and incentive programs to accelerate mutual growth and on-chain liquidity.
Track portfolio health, report on milestones and impact to leadership, and identify opportunities for deeper collaboration or new deal expansion.
Stay ahead of Bitcoin ecosystem trends, regulatory shifts, and competitive yield strategies to guide partners and inform Sui’s roadmap.
What you'll have
8+ years in partnerships, business development, customer success, or account management within crypto, DeFi, or fintech infrastructure.
Proven track record of managing complex blockchain integrations from signing through launch, delivering measurable on-chain outcomes.
Extremely organized with proven, demonstrable experience in program management and initiative leadership.
Deep knowledge of DeFi lending mechanics, collateralization models, liquidity provision, vault strategies, and yield optimization—particularly involving stablecoins and yield-bearing assets.
Technical aptitude to bridge engineering and business teams, with familiarity in blockchain integration patterns (APIs, smart contracts, oracles).
Experience structuring incentives, revenue shares, or co-marketing programs that drive ecosystem growth.
Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills with a bias for action in fast-paced environments.
Fluency in English; additional languages preferred (e.g., Mandarin, Korean) a plus.
Nice-to-Have
Prior experience at a Layer 1/2 foundation, Bitcoin-focused project, lending protocol, or custodian.
Existing relationships within Bitcoin wallet providers, institutional custodians, or major DeFi lending platforms.
Hands-on familiarity with stablecoins, real world assets (RWAs), cross-chain bridging mechanisms.
Background in risk management or treasury operations related to crypto collateral.
Experience with the Bitcoin ecosystem.
Background in banking, finance, or lending.
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, which may include verification of employment history, education credentials, criminal history, and other relevant information.
