What is Kalshi?
Kalshi has defined a new category: prediction markets. Kalshi allows people to trade on the outcome of any events and turn any question about the future into a financial asset. Kalshi fought for years and legalized prediction markets in the US for the first time in history, is currently the fastest growing financial market in America, and has thousands of markets across politics, economics, financials, weather, tech, AI, culture and more.
We believe prediction markets have the potential to be the largest financial market because they turn anything into a financial position.
- Our vision: well… build the largest financial market on the planet.
- Our mission: bring more truth to the world through the power of markets.
Role Roadmap
We are building the financial plumbing of a next-generation exchange. As a Financial Operations Associate, you will be an early member of Kalshi’s Finance team. Our participants include retail customers, market makers and hedge funds, and institutional traders. The Financial Operations team ensures that every dollar entering and leaving the Exchange, the Clearing Organization, and all connected systems is accurately tracked, reconciled, and understood.
We are scaling quickly, which means your role will grow with the company. You will begin by owning core financial processes and evolve into owning systems, strategy, and cross-functional initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Own the heartbeat of our financial system, monitoring and reconciling high-volume transaction flows across venues, clearing partners, and payment rails
- Produce daily financial snapshot reports that summarize activity and support operational decision-making
- Continuously refine financial processes for reliability, speed, and regulatory alignment
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations relevant to exchanges, clearing organizations, and payment flows
- If comfortable, own and optimize crypto payment flows, including stablecoin transfers, on-chain settlement tracking, wallet reconciliations, and bridging digital asset activity into our core financial systems
- Collaborate with risk, compliance, engineering, operations, and product teams to maintain accurate and efficient financial operations
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Ideally 2+ years of experience post-graduation
- Experience within a financial exchange, clearing organization, or high-volume payment processor
- Strong analytical skills and comfort interpreting complex financial data
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards; familiarity with exchange or FCM rules is a plus
- Hands-on exposure to settlement flows, treasury operations, crypto rails, or multi-venue transaction processing
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Clear communication skills and effectiveness working cross-functionally with teams like risk, compliance, product and engineering
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- An entrepreneurial mindset paired with a collaborative approach
- A passion for automation: you instinctively ask, “Why is this manual?” and look for ways to systematize it
- Direct experience with DeFi or crypto infrastructure, including on-chain settlement, stablecoin/payment rails, custodial or non-custodial wallets, smart contracts, or blockchain-based reconciliation workflows
- Treasury Analyst
- Financial Operations Associate
- Financial Controller
- Clearing or Payments Operations Specialist
Salary Range: $110,000 to $150,000 annually, plus equity and benefits.
This range reflects current market data for this role. Kalshi has minimal hierarchy and broad variance in experience levels within each title; if your compensation expectations exceed this range, we encourage you to reach out — we’re always happy to discuss.
Our Culture
Meritocracy is at our core, and we value people who take ownership and figure (usually hard) things out. We dream big. We love our craft deeply and are proud of what we put out in the world. We are committed to our vision of building something big… but also useful: a product that brings more truth through the power of markets.
Kalshians are Kalshi’s most important asset: we pick Kalshians carefully, so we trust them fully on day 1.
Commitment to Equal Opportunity
Kalshi is committed to creating a culture of inclusion and belonging, and we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We believe it is our collective responsibility to uphold these values and encourage candidates from all backgrounds to join us in our mission. All qualified applicants will be treated with respect and receive equal consideration for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, uniform service, veteran status, age, or any other protected characteristic per federal, state, or local law. If you are passionate about what you do and want to use your talents to support our mission and values, we’d love to hear from you.
