<h2><strong>About the team &amp; role</strong></h2>

As a Markets and Risk Operations Specialist, you will be instrumental in managing and mitigating market risks associated with spot and derivatives trading for the Bitstamp by Robinhood business (BbRH). Your experience in derivatives risk management and understanding of regulatory environments will help us serve global institutional and retail clients through effective risk management.

As this role covers the crypto markets, coverage for the business is required 7 days a week therefore your weekly 5 days/week of work will not typically follow a Mon-Fri pattern (i.e. could be Wed-Sun, Sat-Wed etc). As the team also operates under a follow-the-sun operating model, working hours will typically be from 7am-3pm Singapore time to fit alongside shifts covered in other global locations. Only apply for this role if you are willing to follow these flexible working patterns.

This role is based in our Singapore office, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you’ll do

  • Risk Management: conduct real-time risk management of crypto spot and derivatives products offered by the business. This will include monitoring the operation of the exchange trading platform, and assessing market, liquidity, credit, and concentration risks inherent in the products.
  • Trend Analysis: Analyse market trends, price movements, and regulatory developments to assess their impact on the company's risk position, escalating to the appropriate stakeholders as needed back on market changes
  • KRI Development: Develop and implement risk metrics and monitoring tools tailored to the spot and derivatives businesses across BbRH entities, clients and trading activity.
  • Stress Testing: Perform stress tests on the parameters used to operate the exchange to evaluate its ongoing resilience under adverse market conditions
  • Regulatory Compliance: Oversee daily regulatory reporting ensuring compliance with relevant regulations across business entities.
  • Reporting: Prepare detailed risk reports for senior management, highlighting key exposures and trends
  • Strategic Insights: Provide actionable insights to inform risk management strategies and support decision-making

What you bring

  • 3+ years of experience in 1LOD or 2LOD risk management with exposure to derivatives trading.
  • Experience working within Risk at a major bank, trading firm, or exchange.
  • Experience in Cryptocurrency is preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to make discretionary decisions based on real-time data and KRI’s
