Role

We are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to build great end user-facing web applications that meet our customers’ needs and are bug-free, well tested and architected. Shipping features fast and with low friction is a core belief of Zap. We are looking for highly driven individuals who are deeply detail-oriented, focused on user experience and who can wear multiple hats when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use web technology (React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS) to develop MVPs and run experiments to validate ideas and iterate quickly, leveraging new technologies and tools when needed
  • Build platforms, systems, and services for internal and external teams to interact with the large-scale production systems
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software
  • Bring new ideas and technologies into our platform, innovate, and iterate

Requirements

Must have

  • 5+ years of professional Javascript experience (ReactJS/NextJS)
  • Experience in a frontend development role, with solid JavaScript/HTML/CSS skills
  • English fluency (written & oral)

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Next.js
  • Familiarity with the whole web stack, including protocols and web server optimization techniques
  • Experience building serverless backends
  • Strong sense of web design and attuned to the fundamentals of user experience
