Anchorage Digital is seeking a highly motivated Member of Corporate Development to join our rapidly growing team. As a key member of the Corporate Development group, you will play a critical role in identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic acquisitions and investments. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of the digital asset industry by partnering with innovative companies and expanding Anchorage's capabilities.

We have created the Factors of Growth & Impact to help Villagers better measure impact and articulate coaching, feedback, and the rich and rewarding learning that happens while exploring, developing, and mastering the capabilities and contributions within and outside of the Member of Corporate Development role:

Technical Skills:

    • Develop and maintain complex financial models for valuation, accretion/dilution analysis, and sensitivity analysis of potential acquisition targets.
    • Conduct comprehensive due diligence, including financial statement analysis, market research, and competitive analysis.
    • Perform valuation analysis using various methodologies, including DCF, precedent transactions, and market multiples.

Complexity and Impact of Work:

    • Independently manage all stages of the transaction process, from initial target identification and screening through due diligence, negotiation, and closing.
    • Directly contribute to Anchorage Digital's growth strategy by identifying and executing strategic acquisitions that align with the company's overall objectives.
    • Demonstrate adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving, effectively managing complex transactions with limited guidance.

Organizational Knowledge:

    • Develop a deep understanding of Anchorage Digital's business model, competitive landscape, financial performance, and strategic priorities.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments (e.g., product, engineering, legal) to assess the strategic needs of the firm, the fit of potential acquisitions, and to ensure seamless integration.
    • Proactively contribute to the development and refinement of Anchorage Digital's long-term M&A strategy by synthesizing market data and identifying emerging trends.

Communication and Influence:

    • Support the team in preparing and presenting compelling investment memos and presentations to senior management, effectively conveying complex financial information and strategic rationale.
    • Develop and manage streamlined internal processes related to M&A activities, ensuring efficient communication and coordination across teams.
    • Synthesize complex market data and industry research into concise and actionable insights that inform corporate strategy and development decisions.
    • Demonstrate a proactive and "hungry" learning mindset, readily taking on new challenges and seeking opportunities to expand knowledge and skillset within the dynamic cryptocurrency and blockchain landscape.

You may be a fit for this role if you have:

    • 2-4 years of experience in investment banking or private equity, with demonstrated strong financial modeling and analytical skills and a track record of executing M&A transactions. Are passionate and have a deep understanding of the crypto and blockchain industry.
    • Have strong technical skills and a good understanding of company financials, reporting requirements, GAAP, and an understanding of debt and equity structures and markets.
    • Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough market research and analysis, synthesize complex information, and identify emerging trends and potential investment or acquisition opportunities.A strategic thinking mindset with proven ability to break down and solve complex problems, while also being able to focus on tactical and operational issues.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to manage multiple processes and timelines while executing quickly on deliverables.
    • Adept at utilizing AI-based solutions and tools to enhance market analysis , streamline complex problem-solving , and drive efficiency in research and transaction processes.

Although not a requirement, bonus points if you:

    • Were emotionally moved by the soundtrack to Hamilton, which chronicles the founding of a new financial system. :)
    • Have experience investing and advising crypto companies, including assessing valuations and executing transactions within these evolving industries
