DoubleZero is looking for a highly talented Head of Marketing to join our team and lead our marketing and growth efforts as we support the launch of the DoubleZero protocol.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Leadership / Team. Build the marketing function at DoubleZero from the ground up. You will have ownership over every aspect of marketing and brand, including building a team as appropriate.

  • Product Marketing. Oversee and coordinate marketing for the DoubleZero protocol, which is a framework for decentralizing high-performance bandwidth contribution and consumption within blockchain ecosystems. The protocol will resonate with many audiences, but two of the most important are bandwidth contributors and validators/RPCs/MEV systems.

  • Branding. The protocol must position itself to appeal to its target user base and its many communities. Creating clear, compelling messages with a set brand strategy for each target group is critical.

  • Own and refine content strategy. Develop visually crisp and easy-to-understand marketing content—press releases, blogs, emails, video, websites, and landing pages—that will illuminate the value of DoubleZero to participants.

  • Public Relations. Develop proactive public relations programs, plans, and editorial calendars. Build and maintain a strong network of key media relationships.

  • Events. Events are vital in the industry. Oversee this critical function for all KPIs—cost, productivity, attendance, sponsorship alignment, venues, and content.

  • Speaking / external visibility. Identify speaking and presentation opportunities. Create the content, prep team members, and ensure a consistent and compelling brand voice reaches the market.

  • Social / Website / Blog. Oversee the brand's social presence across all channels, especially X/Twitter. Own the website, blog, and community channels.

  • Manage external resources. Select and manage vendors and contractors across multiple disciplines, including website developers, graphic design, public relations, advertising, freelance writers, events partners, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-10 years of total marketing experience

  • 3+ years of team leadership experience

  • 2+ years of crypto marketing experience

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity; can bring structure and focus to complex questions

  • Ability to prioritize appropriately and meet deadlines in high-pressure environments

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills

  • Comfort with technical enterprise products

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • An early-stage marketing expert - you have the experience and intuition to super-charge our marketing execution.

  • A crypto or decentralized system enthusiast - you understand the potential of the technology for solving some of the world's most vexing problems.

  • You are a great communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.

  • An independent problem-solver - you can understand what’s most important quickly and proactively build solutions.

  • A scrappy team player with a high degree of ownership – you thrive in early-stage environments with lots of moving parts, priorities, roles, and responsibilities.

ABOUT DOUBLEZERO

DoubleZero is a decentralized, permissionless protocol that revolutionizes network performance for distributed systems like blockchain. The mission is simple: increase bandwidth and reduce latency.

DoubleZero increases bandwidth by filtering junk data that currently plagues validators and other network operators. DoubleZero reduces latency by connecting these filters with underutilized private fiber links in the form of a mesh network. By combining these improvements and routing the right data through optimized, low-latency paths, the DoubleZero protocol empowers blockchains and other systems to reach performance levels that are currently impossible.

In short, DoubleZero is a new Internet for distributed systems. It is supported by two organizations: DoubleZero Foundation, which drives the adoption, decentralization, security, and advancement of the protocol; and Malbec Labs, which develops the technical components of the protocol itself. We look forward to hearing from you.
