Location: Must Be Based in New York

Job Type: Full-Time

About Us:

Based in New York City, our team, with over 10 years of experience in the cryptocurrency industry, is launching an innovative fund focused on blockchain technology and Web 3.0. Our fund will primarily focus on liquid assets, investing in established tokens with existing markets or private entities expecting to issue tokens in the next 12 months. As experienced operators and investors with deep roots in the cryptocurrency space, we specialize in blockchain and its underlying tokens. Our aim is to generate significant returns by capitalizing on emerging opportunities in this dynamic and evolving sector. This is your chance to join the founding team and get-in on the GROUND FLOOR of a new fund.

The Role

As a crypto analyst, you'll be at the forefront of identifying and analyzing promising investment opportunities. You'll leverage your expertise in on-chain data analysis, smart contract audits, and economic modeling to generate insightful reports, market forecasts, and investment recommendations that contribute to the fund's success.

We’re looking for someone who has a comprehensive understanding of the cryptocurrency market and can identify early-stage investment opportunities in companies and protocols. The ideal candidate should have knowledge in computer science, distributed systems, consensus algorithms, networking, economics, game theory, and other relevant areas of blockchain technology. The role involves conducting market research, identifying investment prospects, collaborating with the investment team for due diligence, and staying informed about the latest trends in the cryptocurrency market.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct deep dives into blockchain protocols (including on-chain data), tokens, and underlying cryptocurrencies, evaluating their technical viability, economic sustainability, differentiators, and potential for generating alpha returns.
  • Apply your knowledge of smart contracts to assess the security and functionality of DeFi protocols, highlighting potential vulnerabilities and recommending improvements.
  • Develop robust economic models to analyze tokenomics, simulate market scenarios, and forecast future performance.
  • Produce high-quality research reports, market forecasts, and investment recommendations that inform the fund's investment decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with the investment team to identify promising early-stage projects and participate in due diligence processes.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the DeFi space, actively engaging with the community and attending relevant conferences and events.
Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field from a top tier university (e.g., Columbia University).
  • Proven interest in and understanding of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to work independently and deliver detailed, accurate analyses.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in content creation for platforms like Substack or Medium considered a plus.
  • Programming experience a strong plus.
What We Offer:

  • A dynamic and supportive work environment where your ideas and contributions are valued.
  • Opportunities to lead and manage high-impact projects in the crypto and Web 3.0 spaces.
