The Middle Office professional providing P&L support with a focus on digital products (including cryptocurrencies, digital assets, blockchain-based products, and tokenized securities) is responsible for managing the integrity and accuracy of Profit and Loss (P&L) reporting for digital trading desks.
What you’ll be doing:
Support and reconcile daily P&L for digital asset trading desks by analyzing key drivers such as market movements, staking rewards, and liquidity changes; attributing P&L to risk factors like slippage and liquidity constraints; investigating discrepancies across systems; and collaborating with Front Office teams to resolve issues
Ensure accurate booking and validation of digital asset trades across various instruments in the trade management system, reconcile on-chain and off-chain data from exchanges and blockchain networks, and collaborate with technology teams to integrate trade data into reporting systems for precise P&L reflection
Ensure digital asset prices are sourced from reliable feeds with robust validation checks, adjust for market volatility and unique asset characteristics to maintain accurate mark-to-market P&L, and support the valuation of emerging digital products while collaborating with risk management to define methodologies
Monitor real-time digital asset market data to ensure timely P&L updates and detect market-moving events, collaborate with Engineering and Trading teams to automate data flows from blockchain networks and exchanges, and develop customized P&L reports highlighting risk exposures and performance drivers for stakeholders.
Ensure P&L reporting aligns with regulatory requirements and industry standards, monitor and report risks such as counterparty, liquidity, and market risks while enforcing risk limits, and support audits by providing documentation and insights on digital asset trades, P&L performance, and risk exposure
Develop expertise in the firm’s traded digital products, stay updated on emerging trends and innovations in the digital asset space, improve P&L processes and tools, and educate stakeholders to enhance the firm’s competency in digital asset trading and valuation
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.Â
5-7 years of experience in middle office, trading support, or P&L reporting, specifically with a focus on digital products such as cryptocurrencies, DeFi instruments, tokenized assets, or blockchain-based products
Strong proficiency in Excel (including advanced functions, pivot tables, data analysis).
Familiarity with blockchain explorers, crypto market data platforms (e.g., CoinMarketCap, TradingView), and cryptocurrency exchanges (e.g., Binance, Coinbase).
In-depth knowledge of financial assets like spot, futures, options, tokenized securities
Strong quantitative and analytical abilities, capable of understanding complex digital asset products and explaining their P&L drivers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and work collaboratively with diverse teams
A high level of attention to detail, particularly when reconciling data from multiple sources or dealing with volatile markets and asset classes
Bonus:
Advanced certifications such as CFA, FRM, or relevant crypto/blockchain certifications (e.g., Certified Blockchain Professional) are a plus
Experience with digital asset custodians and wallet management systems.
What’s in for you:
