<span >As a Hands-on Design Lead, you'll be a pivotal member of our team, responsible for both shaping the strategic direction of our product design and actively contributing to the design process. You'll lead a small team of talented designers, guiding them through the entire design lifecycle while also rolling up your sleeves to create beautiful, user-centric experiences yourself. This is a perfect role for a passionate "player-coach" who loves mentoring and still enjoys the craft of design.

Who You Are
- 5+ years of professional experience in product design, UX/UI design, or a related field.
- 1+ year of experience in a leadership or senior role, mentoring junior designers or leading a team.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a proven track record of designing and shipping successful digital products.
Skills Required
- Design Tools: High proficiency with design and prototyping in Figma.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and manage a team of designers.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong understanding of how to connect design solutions to business objectives and user psychology.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate design decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Problem-Solving: The ability to navigate complex, ambiguous problems and break them down into actionable steps.
- Experience with user research methodologies and tools (e.g., UserTesting.com, Maze).
- Familiarity with front-end development (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to better collaborate with engineers.
- Experience contributing to or managing a comprehensive design system.
Academic Degree: Desired
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field.
Desired Skills
- Experience in a specific FinTech and back office systems.
- Experience with animation and micro-interactions.
- Experience managing or creating UX content or with content design.
- Experience managing security features for products and user security.
- Experience supporting internal tools, such as web internal admins.
What You Will Do
- Lead and Mentor: Guide a team of designers, providing constructive feedback, setting clear goals, and fostering a collaborative and creative environment.
- Strategic Vision: Define and execute the design strategy for our products, ensuring it aligns with business goals and user needs.
- Hands-on Design: Create high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and wireframes for key features and new products.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless and cohesive product development process.
- Research & Testing: Plan and conduct user research, usability testing, and A/B tests to inform design decisions.
