The decentralized finance ecosystem has experienced significant growth in recent years, bringing with it its share of complexity. Today there are so many ways to generate passive incomes on cryptocurrencies that it is sometimes difficult to know where to invest, how to manage your positions, and to find the time to do it.

Lobster protocol is a decentralized finance application, offering autonomous and individual strategies that aim to generate interests on investor’s inactive cryptocurrencies while maximizing returns and minimizing risks.

Lobster's algorithm will smartly allocate the user’s liquidity on the underlying most trusted decentralized finance protocols, and automatically optimize your position depending on market conditions.

Tasks

You will join the technical team working on our product, and will participate in the development and improvement of our front-end, back-end, and automated decentralized asset management algorithm on a cutting-edge stack:

  • Front-end developed with React
  • Back-end services developed with Fast API (Python)
  • Smart-contract Interactions using NodeJs services with ethers library
  • Managed databases in PostGreSQL and Redis
  • Containerized micro-services on Docker and managed with Kubernetes
  • Asynchronous services communication using message brokers
  • Managed infrastructure using terraform
  • All hosted on Google Cloud Platform

The stack that you will work on is very ambitious: it must be scalable, available, maintainable and ultra secure.
We want to give you as much autonomy and responsibility as possible, so that you can propose, experiment and above all increase your skills and train. You will be one of the first dev of the company with all that implies: responsibilities and hiring if you are good.

Our goal: allow you to express your full potential and make you love what you do.

Your missions

  • Design, develop, test and deploy new services in the backend
  • Improve product and user experience through frontend
  • Help with architecture improvement and refactor
  • Work in a team with the AGILE Scrum method
  • Participate in daily and weekly meetings
  • Propose and participate in innovation around the product
  • Work closely with our CTO / Co-founders

Requirements

  • You are a student in engineering, computer science, telecommunications or university equivalent.
  • You understand and master the fundamental principles of programming
  • You are familiar with service architectures and API development
  • You are interested in full stack development and can easily switch between back-end and front-end
  • You learn quickly and you know how to adapt
  • You like working in a team and you know how to use git
  • You are dynamic and nice
  • You are interested in cryptocurrencies and the ecosystem
  • You have ideally already completed a first internship as a developer.

Benefits

  • A booming start-up environment: the opportunity to learn a lot about business creation and the French tech ecosystem.
  • An opportunity to challenge and develop your web3 and blockchain skills in general, by being part of a team made passionate experts.
  • An office at Station F, the largest start-up incubator in Europe.
  • Access to a lot of resources, trainings and conferences through the incubator (last examples of conferences: OpenAI CEO, GitHub CTO…)
  • Lots of responsibilities quickly: due to the size of our structure, you will be part of the genesis of the project, and we will entrust you with high-value tasks for the company, which could even lead to more if all goes well.
  • Privileged mentoring with one of our co-founders
  • Lots of contacts from the start-up and web3 ecosystem
