VFX Artist (Junior) | Seedworld
We are on the lookout for a Junior VFX Artist to join our team for an ambitious Metaverse project, Seedworld, utilizing Unreal 5.3. This is a unique opportunity for individuals who are passionate about beginning their career in visual effects within the gaming industry.

As a Junior VFX Artist, you will be immersed in the world of Unreal Engine, utilizing tools such as Niagara and Blueprint, along with industry-standard software (Photoshop, Substance, 3D modeling packages, etc.), to craft and refine particle systems, shaders, and various VFX that align with Seedworld's distinctive aesthetic.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation of visual effects art assets, prioritizing a balance between performance, efficiency, and artistic quality to ensure optimal in-game visual fidelity and performance.
- Support the research and conceptualization process to derive high-quality visual effects from references for different game aspects.
- Work closely with the art director, game designers, and developers, contributing to the VFX efforts to meet game requirements while maintaining high artistic standards.
- Engage in knowledge-sharing with team members and participate in best practices.
- Take part in both technical and artistic discussions, aiding in problem-solving efforts.
- Document and summarize work progress for both internal and external communications.

Required Qualifications:
- Entry-level position, ideal for recent graduates or individuals with 1-2 years of experience in VFX or a related field.
- Exposure to creating 2D and 3D visual effects, even in a learning or project-based capacity.
- Familiarity with the Unreal Engine, particularly with Niagara, through coursework, personal projects, or internships.
- Basic knowledge of 3D software (Maya/Blender/Houdini), Photoshop/Substance, or similar tools.
- A budding visual and technical understanding of FX creation.

Desired Qualifications:
- A keen eye for visual details and an enthusiasm for technical learning, especially in FX shader development and 3D requirements pre-shader (UV, Texture).
- Eagerness to learn about the full game development pipeline, including shader/material development.
- Ability to work efficiently, stay organized, and embrace collaboration and feedback.
- Strong communication skills, fluency in English, and an understanding of production values, deadlines, and priorities.

Bonus Skills:
- Any experience with scripting languages (Python, HLSL, Blueprint) would be advantageous, though not required.
