Confirmo is one of the fastest growing crypto payment gateway, and our flexible solutions, low fees, and top-class support make it easy for businesses of all sizes to accept crypto payments. Since 2022, we’ve grown 700% in volume and now process over $80M+ monthly. We have just received CBI approval for our MiCA licence. We’ve already hired eight employees for our new Irish office and are now seeking a Junior Security Engineer to join the team.

As our Junior Security Engineer, you will work directly alongside our CISO and Head of Security to learn the ropes of modern defence. This is a role for a high-potential generalist who doesn’t want to be boxed - someone who is eager to touch everything from AppSec to Compliance in a fast-paced, cloud-native environment. This is not a typical "sit back and monitor the dashboard" security role. At Confirmo, we build a leading stablecoin payment platform, and security is not just a department—it is part of our DNA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Support: Work closely with the CISO to help track our security roadmap, helping move projects from "planned" to "done."

  • Audit Support: Assist the CISO in gathering evidence and documentation for our compliance frameworks (like ISO 27001 or SOC2).

  • Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in our daily workflows and help create simpler, better ways to handle security tasks.

  • Monitor & Triage: Keep an eye on our security dashboards (SIEM) and investigate unusual activity alongside the Head of Security.

  • Vulnerability Assessments & Penetration Testing: Help us find and prioritise bugs in our code and infrastructure, then work with the team to get them fixed.

  • Identity Management: Support secure deployment and decommission of identities to keep our "perimeter" tight.

Your Profile

  • Foundational Cloud Knowledge: You understand the basics of public cloud platforms and are excited to learn how to secure cloud-native infrastructure.

  • Security Mindset: You have a grasp of the OWASP Top 10 and common attack vectors and would like to put your knowledge to practice.

  • Analytical Skills: You enjoy "connecting the dots" in logs or alerts to find the root cause of an issue.

  • Identity Awareness: You understand the importance of MFA, SSO, and why "Identity is the new perimeter."

This position is based in Dublin with a hybrid working model. If you are interested in learning more, please submit your CV, and our recruiter, will get back to you promptly.

How do I start a Web3 career?

If you're interested in starting a career in Web3, here are a few steps you can take:

  1. First, it's important to gain a solid understanding of the underlying technologies that make up the Web3 ecosystem, such as blockchain, cryptography, and decentralized networks. You can do this by reading books and articles, taking online courses, or attending workshops and conferences.
  2. Next, you'll want to build a portfolio of projects that showcase your skills and knowledge. This can include creating dApps (decentralized applications) using blockchain platforms such as Ethereum, contributing to open-source projects, or writing articles and tutorials on Web3-related topics.
  3. Networking is also an important part of any career, and the Web3 space is no exception. Attend meetups and conferences, join online communities, and make connections with other professionals in the field. This can help you learn from others, share your own expertise, and potentially find job opportunities.
  4. Finally, consider getting certified in Web3 technologies. There are several organizations that offer certification programs, which can help demonstrate your proficiency and set you apart from other candidates in the job market.
