As a Junior Sales Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting R3’s enterprise sales activities. This position provides a unique opportunity to develop your technical and business acumen by solving customer-driven challenges and showcasing the potential of R3’s products through prototypes and demonstrations. You will work closely with experienced sales engineers, participate in weekly 1-2-1s for guidance and feedback, and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

The Sales Engineering team at R3 is responsible for engaging with customers, partners, and prospects to position R3’s products across various markets and drive adoption. The team provides technical expertise and domain knowledge throughout the sales process, including delivering presentations and demos, gathering requirements, analysing business cases, responding to RFPs (Requests for Proposals), designing solutions, and creating high-level architectural proposals.

Your Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with senior sales engineers to prepare technical sales proposals and presentations.
    • Support account executives during client calls by providing technical expertise and insights.
    • Assist in reviewing and validating Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to ensure accuracy and alignment with client needs.
    • Contribute to drafting and responding to RFIs and RFPs with tailored technical solutions.
    • Deliver pre-sales technical assistance and educational sessions focused on Corda’s features, benefits, and use cases.
    • Address customer queries related to Corda’s technical capabilities, deployment, and integration.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their requirements and ensure satisfaction with proposed solutions.
    • Assist in designing tailored solutions for prospective clients, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with business needs.
    • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, product, and marketing, to develop high-quality sales engineering materials, documentation, and collateral.
    • Conduct engaging product demonstration sessions for prospects and clients to showcase Corda’s value proposition effectively.

Your Skills & Experience:

    • Java programming skills and software development experience.
    • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
    • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
    • Proactive, self-motivated, and goal-oriented attitude with meticulous attention to detail.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
    • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Adaptability and eagerness to learn and stay updated with emerging technologies.

Nice to haves (optional):

    • Prior experience in a sales engineering or a client-facing technical role will be a nice to
    • Experience with or knowledge of distributed ledger technology (DLT) and blockchain concepts.
