The Team
Kraken’s OTC desk is a market leader in one of the most innovative and fast growing industries in the world. We are known for our white-glove service, making markets to clients around the world 24/7. We have established ourselves as a dominant OTC desk for spot trading, built an options desk to service HNWI and institutions, recently launched structured products, and are now expanding our global coverage and capabilities! As the Junior Trader, you will primarily work with our options team to interface with clients, price and risk manage options trades, and cover operational aspects of settlement. You will also have exposure to the spot and lending desks and may assist in coverage of those operations from time to time.
This is a fully remote role open for applicants based in North America.
The Opportunity
Provide white-glove derivatives sales trading coverage to OTC institutional clients, pricing and trading vanilla options and managing associated hedges
Cover day-to-day delta hedging and risk management of the options book
Assist in operational aspects including trade settlement and collateral monitoring across platforms and clients
Drive client outreach and conversions for new OTC clients, bringing new business to the desk and growing trading volume for existing clients
Assist in the 24/7 coverage of OTC spot and lending desks, providing trading and operational support when required by staffing needs and/or market conditions
Skills you should HODL
2+ years experience in crypto options trading, OTC trading, and/or spot trading
Experience with options pricing and risk management
Experience with operational processes and safeguards; strong attention to detail
Strong communication skills; ability to interface directly with diverse set of OTC clients
Commercial mindset to identify opportunities and grow the business
Passionate about crypto; deep knowledge of crypto spot and derivatives markets
