Scope of the role

Responsibilities:

  • Analytics development to provide transparency and insights in new and existing domains to management, traders and quants
  • Develop data ingestion processes to collect and store large volumes of data from internal trading and external market data systems
  • Scale and optimise data access framework for realtime dashboards, execution analytics and market microstructure researches
  • Design and build CEP processes to monitor data anomalies and generate signals
  • Maintain and improve robustness, efficiency and cost of system components
  • Following full software cycle: analysing, implementing, testing, testing, testing, releasing and supporting
  • Working alongside traders and quants and fellow expert KDB+ developers

Requirements:

  • UK based role
  • Minimum of 4 years’ commercial experience in KDB+ development
  • Clean and efficient coding >
  • Self-starter, confident and driven
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of the team
  • Eager to learn, attention to detail

Knowledgeable in most of the following areas:

  • KDB+/q
  • Linux / bash scripting
  • Level 1 / 2 market data
  • Big data management, analysis and visualisation
  • Continuous integration

Knowledge of the following an advantage:

  • Python / Java
  • Kafka / Redis
  • KX Dashboard / Grafana
  • Docker / Kubernetes
  • Cloud-based KDB+ deployment
  • Low latency / high frequency trading
  • Crypto / FX / Options knowledge
