About Astria

Astria is a shared sequencer network, allowing many rollups to share a single decentralized network of sequencers that’s simple and permissionless to join. This shared sequencer network provides out-of-the-box censorship resistance, fast block confirmations, and atomic cross-rollup composability – all while retaining each rollup’s sovereignty.

Our team combines traditional experience in building and scaling teams at technology companies like Google, and Meta, with crypto native experience from the most impactful protocols. We are well funded by the leading crypto native funds and investors.

We are remote first, and employees aren’t required to live in any specific timezone. English is our primary language, and employees are expected to be generally available between 10am and 2pm Mountain Time (MT). The ideal candidate for this role takes initiative and ownership over their work, thrives in a fast-paced remote working environment, and is capable of rapidly adapting to evolving needs as required.

About the Role

Astria is seeking a Solutions Engineer that can blend technical expertise and client interaction. The Solutions Engineer will play a critical role in understanding client needs, communicating technical best practices, and helping the client ship to mainnet.

Responsibilities

  • Drive support for integrations and partnerships with projects in the Astria ecosystem to move from devnet to mainnet
  • Be the technical expert to potential and existing clients using the Astria Stack
  • Work closely with external developers to improve their technical architecture as well as collect feedback
  • Collaborate internally with marketing, operations, and engineering to sync on external teams’ priorities and objectives
  • Create documentation and other resources and repeatable processes for onboarding teams

Requirements

  • 3+ years work experience as a solutions engineer or similar
  • Strong communication skills, including both written and verbal
  • Experience with “cloud native” development (eg. Docker, Kubernetes, GCP/AWS/Azure)
  • Experience with Rust

Nice to Haves

  • Familiarity with distributed systems
  • Experience working with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) or other Blockchain/Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT).
  • Experience or interest in the broader blockchain ecosystem
  • Experience with Golang

Benefits

  • Flexible and remote work environment
  • Employer covered health, dental and vision insurance
  • 4 weeks of accrued annual vacation and a generous holiday calendar
  • Unlimited sick time
  • Home office stipend
  • Quarterly team on-site events
