At Neon Labs, we are building a high-performance, open source platform for launching decentralized applications on the Solana blockchain using the same programming languages and developer tooling as Ethereum. Ethereum developers can scale performance and access new liquidity without significant code changes, or build scalable applications from day one.

Who We're Looking For
We are looking for a Senior Engineer with a solid foundation in system-level programming languages such as C++ and/or Rust, with at least 6+ years of experience. In addition, the ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing high-performance services, managing infrastructure components, and a strong background in database development and system architecture. Leadership experience or the desire to take on a team lead role is also important, as you will guide a team in delivering cutting-edge solutions.

Your Responsibilities

Main Tasks (60-70%):

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of high-performance services for decentralized applications on the Neon platform.

• Oversee and manage critical infrastructure components that ensure the platform’s scalability and efficiency.

• Conduct research and propose enhancements to the platform, focusing on scalability, performance, and system robustness.

Additional Tasks (30-40%):

• Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation.

• Assist in complex client integration issues with the Ethereum ecosystem, ensuring smooth operations and system compatibility.

• Simplify and solve intricate problems by providing efficient, scalable solutions.

Skills, Nice to Have, and Strong Plus:

• Experience in building high-performance services.

• Proficiency in C++ and/or Rust, leveraging experience to architect and develop complex systems.

• Solid experience working with databases and designing scalable infrastructure components.

• Demonstrated leadership experience and a desire to step into a team lead role.

• Strong project management skills and the ability to guide a project from concept to production ("Go-To-Production" experience).

• Familiarity with GNU/Linux and Python is advantageous.Experience in blockchain or decentralized application development is a plus.
