<h3><span >As a Mobile Engineer on the Guardians team, you will be at the forefront of protecting our users' accounts and assets. You will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the security, authentication, and authorization flows that are essential to the Bitso platform. This role is a unique opportunity to work on a modern tech stack, with React Native for the UI and a Java-based BFF that communicates with downstream microservices via gRPC. Your work will directly contribute to making crypto safe and accessible for our millions of users.

Who You Are
- Proven experience with React Native and a strong understanding of its core principles
- Familiarity with native mobile development (Swift/Objective-C for iOS and Kotlin/Java for Android) is a plus.
- Solid experience with Java and building Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) services
- Experience with building and consuming REST APIs
- Familiarity with gRPC for communication between services
- A passion for security and a desire to build robust, secure, and user-friendly applications
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, agile environment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- A proactive mindset and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement
What You Will Do
- Design, build, and maintain features for the Bitso mobile application using React Native
- Develop and maintain our Java-based BFF, ensuring seamless communication between the mobile app and our backend microservices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality features
- Implement and maintain security best practices in our mobile application and BFF
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Participate in code reviews to maintain a high standard of code quality
- Troubleshoot and debug issues across the entire mobile stack.
Your Team
This role does not have direct reports. You will be a key member of the engineering team, collaborating closely with other mobile, backend, and web engineers to achieve our team's goals.
