We are looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to provide sound technical leadership in all aspects of our business. You will communicate with employees, stakeholders, and customers to ensure our companyâs technologies are used appropriately.
Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role. We expect you to be well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with various business concepts. If you are also an excellent communicator and public speaker, weâd like to meet you.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop technical aspects of the companyâs strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
- Discover and implement new technologies that yield a competitive advantage
- Help departments use technology profitably
- Spearhead IT and product development projects.
- Ensure all software and services related to Intellectual Property of Storylines are valuable and securely safeguarded in cooperation with the management
- Develop and take responsibility for the Technology roadmap.
- Develop and take responsibility for the Technology budget, working closely with executive management, finance, and other business unit heads.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the maritime industryâs needs, expectations, and trends.
- Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance
- Use stakeholdersâ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology
- Take responsibility for the management of technology providers.
About You (Required Qualifications)
- Proven experience as a CTO or similar leadership role
- Experience in the following (Operations):
- Wordpress CMS, CRM, digital telephony system, data security, project & scrum management, business software system
- Experience in the following (Shipbased):
- Servers, ISDN phone systems, navigation, wiring layouts, wireless network setup, IOT, POS
- Experience in developing and delivering digital services
- Metaverse frameworks, game development, revenue models, crypto and NFT, tokenomics
- Understanding of budgets and business-planning
- Ability to conduct technical analysis and research
- Excellent communication skills
- Leadership and organizational abilities
- A Degree in Project Management, Computer Science, Software Development, or other related fields.
- Cruise and shipbuilding experience
