About Scroll…

Scroll is building an open source, bytecode level compatible zkEVM layer 2 solution for Ethereum. Our mission is to scale Ethereum while maintaining our values of credible neutrality, open-ness, and execution.

About the role:

Explosive growth, a team for whom hiring is the highest organizational priority, and a culture that values autonomy, ownership and openness makes this a unique, high-impact recruiting opportunity. ****

At Scroll we operate on the bleeding edge of a fast-moving frontier of technology, research and innovation. The Senior Talent Partner will be responsible for keeping us ahead of this curve by finding and attracting more world-class technical and non-technical talent to the team, making this role critically important to our next phase of growth and success.

Our product growth is driven by a powerful network effect. In the same vein, the TA strategies that you define and implement with your Scroll hiring partners will deliver compounding returns in a niche talent market in which every hire counts. Your ability to ensure we are on the right side of this network effect will deliver a direct and outsized impact to Scroll, our product, and the broader Ethereum ecosystem

Requirements:

  • Willing and able to be hands-on in sourcing, assessing and closing world-class ****talent, based anywhere in the world, across multiple functions, including technical functions. You enjoy sourcing, excel at finding passive talent in niche hiring channels, and appreciate the care and effort required to nurture relationships with that talent over the long-term.
  • Executive search experience, i.e. the ability to methodically plan, structure and execute searches for talent that is in short supply, whether or not it is “senior” in title. You’re able to partner with hiring managers to define an intentional sourcing strategy at the outset of a search. You can understand and tell an objective, data-driven story about the search as it progresses, in order to pivot the search direction and sourcing strategy, with intent, as it evolves. You “bring hiring partners along” at every stage and in every aspect of the search: sourcing and sourcing strategy, reach outs, follow-ups, interview process, etc.
  • You’re excited to implement this type of systematic approach to hiring with leaders at Scroll, and have the experience, gravitas and influencing skills to put in place a repeatable process.
  • You have technical hiring experience, i.e. a track record of hiring technical talent and partnering with engineering and product hiring managers.
  • You can map, track and engage a given talent pool – over the long term – and involve hiring partners as needed to escalate and evolve Scroll’s relationships with that talent in that pool.
  • You have the business acumen and curiosity to learn and keep up with a fast-moving web3 space, and to understand the way changes impact the roles you hire, and the talent market you target and nurture.
  • You take action, enjoy and value autonomy and distributed work. You have the self-drive, concise and open communication (spoken, written, async, cross-cultural), data habits, and speed required to execute and collaborate as part of a high-performing, fully remote team.
  • You combine expertise in your TA craft with the humility, maturity and curiosity required to learn and improve; you gather and leverage others' ideas and feedback to adjust course when needed.
  • Startup experience, and/or experience in a small, fast-moving team with less defined processes in place is a requirement.

Nice to haves:

  • Knowledge of the web3 space, and experience hiring in it
  • Broader HR experience
  • You have built/run hiring programs to scale recruiting efforts, for instance: referral programs, social media campaigns, and/or events, etc. You can think programmatically to design these programs, and have the influencing and partnership skills to be able to implement them alongside hiring managers and leaders.
