BitTorrent is looking for a Director of Communication and Brand Ambassador in North America to manage brand awareness. This person will play a critical role in creating brand communication strategies, driving relevance and building relationships.

You will:

• Develop and execute corporate communications, including public, media and analyst relations to drive positive coverage of our brand and our mission.
• Promote BitTorrent's mission, vision and values internally and externally.
• Cultivate and maintain deep relationships with business, tech and national press, key industry opinion leaders and external stakeholders.
• Compose, research and edit communications materials including press pitches, press releases, talking points and speeches/presentations for executives.
• Help manage internal communications, all-hands content and prepare speakers.
• Develop media relations strategies in key markets.
• Have solid digital communications experience, including metrics analysis.
• Be a self-starter who approaches everything with drive, urgency, and energy.
• Experience and comfort with coaching/partnering with executives
  

Who you are:

• At least 15+ years communications experience in public relations and/or journalism
• Strong relationship with mainstream media such as WSJ, CNN, NYT, Bloomberg, Times, etc
• Ability to provide high level counsel about communications in different aspects including strategy, thought leadership building, media relations as well as issues and crisis management
• You have an eye for unconventional narratives — you should be a natural storyteller who sees the bigger picture in every piece of data, product launch, or new development.
• A proven track-record of driving exceptional tier-one media placements with narrative control.
• Existing media relationships with business, tech, national and product reporters, editors and outlets.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Poise, calm and excellent judgment in high-stakes, high-consequence situations.
• Blockchain experience is a plus
• Must have team management skills
