- Participate in and oversee a team of engineers dedicated to building Zero core protocols
- Hands on Leader and Core part of the protocol team, developing smart contracts on Ethereum with emphasis on security and efficient protocol design
- Lead discussions around protocol technical challenges and be able to make technical tradeoffs between competing performance and protocol requirements
- Lead the engineering team to a high level of technical productivity, reliability, and simplicity—build and maintain a consistent culture of high quality delivery
- Manage team member career development by coaching and mentoring engineers through continuous feedback, goal setting and development plans
- Collaborate closely with product team to set engineering priorities
- 3+ years of people management experience at a high-growth startup
- Strong working knowledge of cryptocurrency protocols
- Experience building crypto/web3 products specifically in the Ethereum ecosystem—experience in Solidity required
- Experience recruiting and building high-performing geographically distributed engineering teams
- Ability to balance protocol design with user needs during product roadmap conversations
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment in a rapidly evolving, cutting edge industry
