The team

The Growth team is dedicated to expanding Kraken's global user base by optimizing every stage of the user journey, from initial impressions to long-term retention. Our team collaborates closely with Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Design to achieve our goals of increasing activation rates. As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will ensure that Kraken delivers exceptional quality and reliability to ensure users experience the full value of Kraken.

The opportunity

  • Ensure Kraken Growth Team products and services deliver exceptional quality and reliability through human testing and test automation

  • Work with the product and development teams to create and improve testing processes for the frontend of our platform

  • Design and implement automation tests that are reliable, sturdy, independent of minor UI changes, and deliver accurate results

  • Driving test projects from start to completion in collaboration with engineering teams

  • Document bugs and work with development and product to ensure issues are addressed before release

Skills you should HODL

  • Well-versed in a programming language used to implement tests, such as Python, Ruby or Javascript/Typescript.

  • Experience with technical testing frameworks/tools such as Cypress, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, Postman

  • Extensive experience developing and implementing UI and/or API test automation in an Agile environment

  • Experience with QA processes (bug tracking/reporting, documentation, black box testing, security testing, non-functional testing, etc)

  • Interest in performing manual and automated testing

  • The ingenuity to think of new ways to test and break the product
