With innovative enterprise solutions and data insights, Zinnia simplifies the experience of buying, selling, and administering insurance products. All of which enables more people to protect their financial futures. Our success is driven by a commitment to three core values: be bold, team up, deliver value – and that we do. Zinnia has over $180 billion in assets under administration, serves 100+ carrier clients, 2500 distributors and partners, and over 2 million policyholders.WHO YOU ARE: A quality-first leader with deep expertise in testing enterprise-scale financial systems—particularly in the PeopleSoft FSCM ecosystem. You bring a sharp eye for detail when it comes to checks, wires, ACH, and complex payment workflows. You are highly analytical, process-oriented, and passionate about enforcing quality in both data integrity and system behavior. With a solid foundation in financial operations and QA automation, you know how to build robust validation frameworks, streamline regression coverage, and ensure high reliability across mission-critical payment processes. You are energized by solving hard problems at the intersection of finance and tech, and you take pride in proactively uncovering edge cases others might miss. WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Own end-to-end quality assurance for Zinnia’s enterprise payments systems across AP, Cash Management, ACH, Wires, and Check Processing workflows. Define test strategies for PeopleSoft FSCM modules and supporting systems, ensuring robust coverage across functional, regression, integration, and UAT layers. Partner with engineering, finance, and product teams to translate payment workflows into testable components with clear entry/exit criteria. Build and maintain automated and manual test suites using QA best practices and tools suited for enterprise finance environments. Lead the test cycle for enhancements, patches, and upgrades, ensuring every release is risk-assessed and thoroughly validated before going live. Develop test data strategies to simulate real-world payment edge cases, exceptions, and error conditions. Validate integrations across PeopleSoft, middleware layers, APIs, and downstream banking/payment systems. Provide leadership on compliance, audit readiness, and SOX/PCAOB-aligned QA processes related to financial systems. Support root cause analysis for defects and production issues—driving toward resolution and long-term prevention. Mentor QA analysts and engineers; elevate test design quality and documentation standards across the team. Serve as QA lead for system upgrades (e.g., PUM/Change Assistant), guiding validation and release certification efforts.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
10+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance for enterprise applications, with 7+ years testing PeopleSoft FSCM modules (especially AP, GL, Cash Management). Deep domain knowledge of payment processes: ACH, checks, wires, positive pay, disbursements, and bank reconciliation. Experience validating complex PeopleSoft integrations (Integration Broker, APIs, middleware) and batch processing routines. Strong command of SQL for test data creation, backend validation, and query optimization. Familiarity with QA tools for test case management, automation frameworks, and defect tracking (e.g., Selenium, QTP/UFT, TestRail, Jira). Experience working in cloud-hosted environments (AWS preferred) and understanding of testing strategies for hybrid systems. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills; obsessive about edge cases, regression risks, and system dependencies. Knowledge of SOX-compliant QA practices in financial/insurance domains is a strong plus. Proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, finance, and operations teams. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field; certifications in QA or PeopleSoft testing are a plus.
