About the role:

We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Engineering Manager or Director with a strong background in engineering management to oversee and grow a team of engineers in our ETF/ETP (Financial Products) engineering squads.

In addition, this candidate will help manage the team through a major re-imagining and replatform of our main systems into a modern microservice architecture.

The platform and approach will be cutting edge and unique to the crypto industry. There will be massive opportunities to learn new technologies and skillsets within blockchain and be responsible for our company’s mission-critical products.

What you will be doing:

• Manage and oversee our ETP growth and engineering teams, architecture and systems
• Partner with product and tech leads to facilitate effective agile process and meet deadlines
• Guide team through high growth and a major replatform
• Own ETP engineering roadmap and strategy
• Grow, manage, guide and mentor a team of cross-functional engineers and managers
• Help define and enforce best practices in engineering and agile practice
• Create and maintain high quality software documentation and other written assets to document and explain the system design and functionality

What you need to be great in this role:

• 3+ years of engineering experience
• 5+ years of managerial experience
• Managed a team of size > 10
• Has managed managers and staff, principle engineers
• Demonstrated experience with engineering coaching, mentorship and conflict resolution
• Experience leading an agile scrum team
• Overseen engineering effort of a non trivial sophisticated technology platform, ideally in fintech.
• Ability to work hands on in an agile environment and modern tech stack, as needed
• Experience developing APIs, backend microservices and database design
• Experience with front end technologies and frameworks
• Experience developing and expanding responsive and rich interactive web applications
• Experience designing, scaling and maintaining production content media sites
• Passionate about building high-quality well-tested code, at scale
• Passionate about blockchain and willing to learn and keep at the forefront of cryptocurrency continually
