Chainalysis is the world’s most comprehensive cryptocurrency investigation and transaction monitoring tool. We help over 700 government agencies, cryptocurrency businesses and financial institutions, in more than 70 countries, engage confidently with cryptocurrency. You may have heard about our role in solving the Twitter hack, assisting in counter-terrorism financing efforts, or taking down the largest child exploitive material website in the world.

The engineering team at Chainalysis is inspired by solving the hardest technical challenges and creating products that build trust in cryptocurrencies. We’re a global organization with teams in the UK, Denmark, and the USA who thrive on the challenging work we do and doing it with other exceptionally talented teammates. Our industry changes every day and our job is to build a flexible platform that will allow us to adapt to those rapid changes.

As a Frontend engineer in the Investments group, you’ll be responsible for building a great end to end customer experience for our market and business intelligence customers. You’ll find the opportunity to build the foundations of our platform, build the core of our analytics platform using cutting edge technology that will help blockchain businesses and investors to make critical decisions. You will also have the opportunity to lead the projects, partner with the product designers and product managers to find the most impactful thing to work on.

In one year you’ll know you were successful if:

  • You’ve worked with the other product teams to understand the data lifecycle and optimize how we are serving it to our customers.
  • Your team is iterating fast, deploying to production multiple times a day.
  • Together with the rest of the team you’ve created scalable, self healing and robust APIs with low latency.
  • Together with the rest of your team you’ve built easy to use, customisable user interface components.

A background like this helps:

  • Experience with React/Angular, JavaScript/ES6, Typescript, HTML, CSS, client-side performance, cross-browser compatibility, and browser developer tools
  • Experience with cloud providers like AWS or GCP.
  • Experience with shipping and iterating in close collaboration with design and product partners
  • Experience with mentoring and/or leading other engineers and love to teach and learn from others.
  • Curious about cryptocurrencies/decentralized-finance or a desire to learn - we can help!

What does a React developer in web3 do?

A React developer in the context of web3 is a developer who is using the React JavaScript library to build user interfaces for decentralized applications (dApps) that run on the Ethereum blockchain

These dApps often use smart contracts to facilitate transactions and other interactions on the Ethereum network

Overall, the role of a React developer in web3 involves using your skills in React development to help build cutting-edge decentralized applications that leverage the power of the Ethereum blockchain

As a React developer in web3, some of your responsibilities might include:

  • Integrating the dApp with the Ethereum blockchain. This might involve using tools like web3.js and Ethers.js to connect to the Ethereum network and interact with smart contracts.
  • Building the user interface for a dApp using React. This could involve creating components for the various elements of the dApp, such as buttons, forms, and other input elements.
  • Implementing features that are specific to decentralized applications, such as handling cryptocurrency transactions and displaying data from the blockchain in a user-friendly way.
  • Collaborating with other members of the development team, such as blockchain engineers and designers, to ensure that the dApp functions properly and meets the needs of the end users.
