About the role

We are excited to bring a talented, experienced, and driven Blockchain Engineer to our Engineering team. As an early team member, you will play a leading role in developing and building services and infrastructure to issue NFTs for membership access to creators. In addition, you will gain an unparalleled opportunity to understand athletes and help develop groundbreaking web3 technology.

Your day-to day responsibilities are to:

• Build, implement, and deploy NFT memberships using Solana programs like Candy Machine. You will be empowered to make architecture decisions as well.
• Lead all blockchain infrastructure and system components to enable HEIR
• Create architecture, designs, and documentation that will lead to consistent reliability, scalability, security, and performance
• Partner cross-functionally on product evolution from ideation, design, architecting systems, and process for the user and creator NFT experience; collaborate on trade-offs and engineering solutions
• Discover and solutionize opportunities to drive increased product and engineering efficiency
• Participate in incident or hotfix investigations and resolutions

About You

• BS/BA in computer science or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of software engineering experience (JavaScript, Node.JS, Typescript)
• 2+ years of Rust experience or another comparable blockchain programming language
• Experience implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting core infrastructure software and/or distributed systems.
• Proven track record of operating highly available systems at a significant scale
• Experience in at least one of the following areas:
• Proven success creating and implementing new processes and tools to drive engineering efficiency
• Experience and strong intuition for building custom internal SaaS applications and APIs
• Experience with NoSQL solutions, Memcache/Redis, Kubernetes, or AWS services
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Experience with leading a team
• Passion or experience for web3 or crypto technologies
• Experience with complex backend systems serving a large scale user base
• Experience working in a fast paced start-up environment
• Personal projects or achievements (e.g. programming olympiads, hackathons, participation in well-known open source projects, top-ranked apps, etc.)
