Software Engineer Intern (Dispatch) – Summer 2023

As a Software Engineer Intern with the Dispatch, you will work with individuals across the organization to help Dispatch implement our blockchain messaging and analytics products. This is a cross-functional opportunity where you will be able to leverage your technical skills to help IEX's Dispatch team set new standards and raise the bar for performance, fairness, and transparency.

This position is best suited for a highly collaborative, team-oriented individual who is passionate about innovation and making an impact in the technology and financial markets. Interest and experience in web3, crypto or blockchain is a plus!

What you'll do:
  • Work with Product, Design and Engineering teams to fully implement features from our roadmap. Depending on area of interest, this means adding functionality to new and existing APIs and / or implementing new UI/UX on our front-end using open-source tools + frameworks.
  • Design and implement solutions to help web3 teams bring their community management and communication to the blockchain
  • Design systems which interact with "on-chain" data and events and gain exposure to the broader web3 ecosystem.

Your background:
  • Familiarity with programming languages and tools (Javascript/Typescript, React, Node.js, SQL, Mongo)
  • Familiarity with technology, financial markets, and/or blockchain/crypto/web3
  • Experience with Smart Contract development (Rust, Solidity) or interfacing with Smart Contracts (ethers.js, web3.js) a plus!
