This role will be integral for R&D and expanding the capabilities of the Avalanche ecosystem. It's an exciting time to join a world-class team and get the opportunity to work under the direction of a founding member and published blockchain leader within Ava Labs.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Collaborate with C-Level technical teams to build proof of concept (POC) features/products while executing R&D team’s vision
- Cutting edge protocol and VM research (applied)
- Design new concepts based on research findings
- Contribute clean/elegant code while developing components for high visibility projects
- Ensure quality of new concepts via unit testing & continuous integration design
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- 3 to 8 years of professional development experience
- Proficiency in Rust
- Experience designing/developing complex systems and full cycle development
- Understanding of Go
- Experience with distributed systems, asynchronous event processing and/or concurrent programming
- Strong understanding of virtual machines (bonus points if you have knowledge of blockchain based virtual machines)
- Experience with low level execution environments for smart contracts
- Experience with unit testing (TDD)
- Nice to have skills: C/C++, scripting automation (Shell, Bash and/or Python), continuous integration, infrastructure/systems engineering
