About The Role
This hire is the first partnership role for WalletConnect. This role will focus on strategy and exxecution activities across the WalletConnect partner ecosystem including blockchains, foundations, infrastructure partners, agencies and communities to drive adoption of the WalletConnect Protocol and product suite..
They’ll partner with our product, strategy, product marketing and BD team members to develop ideas and inform our GTM approach, and engineering teams so that we can use feedback from the market to inform our development.
This person has experience in building partnerships for crypto products / ecosystems. They will have strong technical understanding - for example they may be in a sales engineering role or may have an engineering background for example. Responsibilities
- Conduct research to identify and build creative partnership strategies for the WalletConnect ecosystem
- Define and secure partnerships who will build using the WalletConnect Protocol
- Work with marketing to create initiatives that grow and increase engagement within the community and leverage partnerships to grow our reach
- Build other GTM partnerships such as channel, product and ecosystem to drive adoption of the WalletConnect Protocol and productRepresent WalletConnect online and IRL to develop deep relationships across the crypto community
- Represent WalletConnect at crypto and industry events around the world to build partnerships and grow the ecosystem
- Identify, build and maintain relationships with key users and decision makers across the industry
- Partner with DevRel, Product and Engineering teams to provide feedback from the market especially in the alpha and beta stages of product development and ensure that partnership goals align with product objective
- 2+ years of ecosystem or partnership experience in the web3 / crypto ecosystem and 2+ years of experience managing relationships with large web2 companies / accounts
- Strong track record of growing thriving online and offline communities
- Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Experience in building successful commercial partnerships with high ROI
- Is able to communicate with a diverse circle of users and customers from developers in start-ups to C-suite executives and comfortable presenting in public to technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience using a range of tools such as Hubspot, Preset, GSuite, Deepnote or similar to both collate and structure data and also to inform decision making
- Desire and ability to travel and attend relevant conferences as needed
