About the role:
Our web3 project is a visionary initiative aimed at creating the future cross asset marketplace that “enables anybody, anywhere to trade any amount of any asset for any other asset at any time." This innovative platform seeks to democratize access to all types of assets, including those traditionally unavailable to many (e.g. Treasuries) fostering greater financial inclusion globally.
The Business Development Manager – Strategic Partnerships is responsible for:
· Pipeline Development & Prospecting
· Proof of Concept (PoC) Scoping
· NDA and Contract Management
· Project Execution & Delivery Oversight
· Market & Technology Engagement
· Cross-Functional Collaboration
Responsibilities:
· Identify, qualify, and secure a pipeline of prospects, transforming potential opportunities into a robust client list.
· Develop strategic partnerships and engage key decision-makers across industries relevant to the project.
· Collaborate with technical and product teams to define and scope Proofs of Concept (PoCs) that demonstrate the value of the project.
· Ensure alignment between business needs and technical capabilities, driving early validation and feedback
· Facilitate and oversee the execution of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and other initial contractual arrangements.
· Ensure all documentation complies with legal and regulatory requirements, collaborating closely with legal teams as necessary.
· Support the Product Owner and Head of Strategic Distribution in managing project timelines, scope, resources, and risk.
· Provide regular status updates to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication across internal teams and external partners.
· Leverage a deep understanding of Web3 market trends, tokenization, DeFi principles, and smart contracts to guide business development initiatives.
· Maintain knowledge of enterprise blockchain solutions, regulatory frameworks, and emerging DeFi protocols to inform strategic decisions.
· Work closely with solution architecture, pre-sales engineering, and project/program management teams to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
· Foster collaboration between technical teams and external partners to ensure seamless integration and project success.
· 3-5 years of proven business development experience, ideally in technology, fintech, blockchain, or related sectors.
· Demonstrated success in building and managing a sales pipeline, securing strategic partnerships, and executing PoCs.
· Solid understanding of Web3, tokenization, and DeFi principles.
· Familiarity with smart contracts, enterprise blockchain solutions, and the regulatory landscape surrounding these technologies.
· Experience in solution architecture, project/program management, or pre-sales engineering is a plus.
· Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with an ability to operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
· Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of professionalism and initiative.
· Ability to work collaboratively across various teams and geographies.
· Experience with enterprise-level projects and navigating complex business environments.
