We're looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial Data Lead to help lead efforts to define our ecosystem, partnership and business success metrics, and build the goals and dashboard that help us scale. This individual will be the first data hire at Solana Labs.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Working with leadership to define the right metrics to measure the success of our ecosystem and the business
- Determine the most important metrics to gauge partnership success and make the right decisions on where to deploy time and resources
- Help drive the goal-setting strategy, build dashboards and reporting systems for enhanced insight into our operations.
- Act as a strategic thought partner across the company on how to use data effectively.
- Build strong relationships with our ecosystem data products and companies.
- Scale our insights through improving systems and automating where possible.
- Design communication structure and cadence with team members; synthesize data takeaways (success or failures) into compelling narratives and communicate them.
- Work with data engineering team to build data stack and data pipelines.
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in fast-paced environments
- Experience in Python, R, SQL, NoSQL and BigQuery (or any other Big data/Cloud equivalent)
- Efficiency in pulling data from disparate sources: (no)SQL, graphs, and basic parsing of dirty data"
- Background and experience with statistical analysis.
- Experience with data visualization tools
- Experience in dashboards, goal-setting, storytelling and executive presentations.
- Strong cross-functional skills and ability to operate under ambiguous and fast moving problem spaces.
- A passion for, and understanding of, blockchain technologies and applications. (Prior experience in crypto data is preferred, but not required)
- Potential to grow into a leadership position as the team expands.
- Excellent ability to communicate complicated and nuanced insights in accessible language to relevant stakeholders.
- Relevant degrees (not required) include Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Mathematics or similar field
